Atlanta fans are embarrassing themselves. Orlando had some shitty fans at first but luckily most of them left during the USL days.
Perfect. Needed another team to hate with a passion. Can't bump Atl ahead of Sea and Hou (yet) but that's a great start right there.
The Nordecke Facebook/Reddit/Twitter fights about it are intense. There's pretty much the Hispanic SG saying they're going to continue doing it and everyone else telling them to stop. They have the drums, they win
How long do you have to live/work in the US to get citizenship? 6 years? Someone needs to suck it up for the usmnt and offer a kings ransom to Davies.
I picked out Van, Col, and SJ as good clean sheet targets. I couldn't get a gk/3 starter combo from those teams that I liked with bare minimum funds so i mixed in each ones cheapest starter. If Van keeps it clean my 17 mil gk/def combo would get me close to 40 points. Unfortunately Gio/Benny/Kaka/Larin cost me almost 40 mil and a captain badge on got 15 total point. Fuckers.
They just said Canada is going to cap tie him at the next gold cup. Thank god for that one time switch though.
Alright, week 1 officially in the books. I know you've been waiting for it. DirtBalls Top 5 power rankings: 1) TFC - In a class by themselves. Hand them the quadruple as far as I'm concerned. 2). PTFC - Greatest attack in league history? We'll see. Season will come down to Guzman keeping pressure off the back 4 and Chara staying out of the books. 3) TFC - Best player in the league and a lot of great parts. Class of the East. 4) Sporting KC - Went into one of the easts top teams on a shitty night and shittier pitch and controlled the match. Ilie and Gerso are great signings. Is there enough depth though? 5) Columbus Crew - should of went into half up 3-0. Fell apart in the last 30. Chalking it up to early season dead legs. Just missed: NYRB, DCU, LAG, Col Top 5 most hated squads: 1) Seattle Flounders 2) Houston Vaginamo 3) Real Salt Flakes 4) Atlanta Poo-nited 5) LA Girl-axy
Had the Atlanta opening match recorded as I was very curious about the atmosphere and the fans. Game was a bit crazy in the first. Nice to see fans come out in support but they were a bit annoying during the tail end of the match and then the beer throw in my at the end. Ugh. At least they showed up unlike the supporters or lack of in Dallas.
re: Miami "The guys that want to play there want to go for the wrong reasons, let me tell you that right away."
Just got done reading this and was coming to see if posted. Always a great read. Some interesting answers in there for sure.
Sporting KC announced today that they're LOWERING food and beverage prices by 20% for this season that includes beer and cocktails.
They do preseason games on YouTube live, that's really my only hope. I know NFL did games on twitter but I never checked it out. I still remember 3 years ago when Garber said every match would be streamed on watchESPN. That worked out...
"I'd put my nickname on the back of my jersey. MLS declines most of those requests. I'm not sure many fans know that." Hey, you can't all be as awesome as Mix.
http://soccer.nbcsports.com/2017/03...year-old-sought-by-chelsea-man-utd-liverpool/ Would suck for the league to lose him. I would think it'd give Liberia and Ghana a bigger chance to get in his ear as well if he went to England.
Glanced over the article but will MLS Live be affected by the games on FB? I'm assuming no but if those are blacked out for some reason Ill rage.
That's actually not terrible I guess. Facebook will pretty much just air the english-language broadcasts of games that are already slated for Univision
DirtBalls top 5 must watch matches: 1) FCD @ SKC Whoa boy. The most talented team in the league vs everyones favorite squad. FCD has the ccl match on Wed so we won't get the match we deserve unfortunately as they've sworn to go all in the ccl. Also, it's an orange ball game. Mid 30s and snow at kick off. Luckily kick off isn't till 8 so I'll be drunk enough not to feel the cold. 2-1 Sporting. 2) PTFC @ LAG They won't score 5 but Portland will look plenty deadly. This isn't Minn and LA will burn them on the counter. Chara needs to watch out for the fouls. 3-2 Portland 3) Sea @ Mtl Who can lift up the scrubs that play around them higher? Lodiero or Piatti? I chose Lodiero for my fantasy roster but we'll see. 2-2 draw 4) Crew SC @ Hou Crew will be pushing forward and Hou will be sitting to counter. Hou will get some shots but it won't end nearly as well as last week as Crew is a legit title contender. 3-1 Crew 5) Atl @ Minn The second orange ball match of the week. Forecast says it'll be the coldest game in MLS history. Atl's S American lady prolly won't like that much but they're the more talented squad. In a month no one would care about this match but they're new and it'll be fun and snowy. 1-1 draw
DirtBall one of my buddies from work is officially moving back home to KC this weekend. I have vowed to visit for a match some weekend. He made me promise it would be within the next 3 years so sometime by then
I'm trying to be more into MLS this season, not having the matches available on TV sucks. I'm not a big enough fan yet to dish out for MLS Live, they need to solve this to get more fans Edit: Couldnt even find a stream on my reliable streaming site as they mostly focus on Europe.
Yea especially when you compare to EPL being free with NBC over here. But they really needed to get that ESPN3 thing done that was said to be the plan a couple years ago. Edit: MLS services and tv channels are on free preview this weekend.
