Sort of think MLS should be back the weekend after the Super Bowl. Not sure how that would work weather wise but the sports calendar clears prior to March Madness and after the Super Bowl.
Even for mls standards. I think you guys could do better. You should have bought Antônio Carlos. 5 million dólares and I will take him to the airport for you
They’ll start in February, maybe as early as next year. They’ll have Vancouver, Seattle, Montreal, SJ, LAG, LAFC, FCD, Hou, Atl, Orl to focus on hosting the early games next year. Then with Miami and Austin coming in. Potentially Phoenix, Detroit, whoever else they should have enough places to host early year games.
I love Pipa so damn much. He also looks so dreamy with a beard Translation per twitter “I wish I could one day fight so much for something and get it as SaveTheCrew, it’s something that as a footballer and a person I was moved”
"4g in 31 games in an inferior league last year for Chicago's new TAM signing." Someone in the RBNY scouting office is going to get a strong questioning about how they missed this guy.
HAHA. Was waiting for that. Bc she was crazy and if she wasn't home for any amount of time (Doctors Appointment, Grocery Store, etc.) she thought they would be stolen off her porch.
So what is the word on Atlanta and Almiron. Newcastle apparently still has a 16mil bid on the table and no other teams appear to be close to a bid.
This is where things stand as of today https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...-leave-newcastle-summer-unless-club-sign-new/
New England had so many exciting attacking pieces just a couple years ago. Can’t blame them for all wanting to leave.
Yeah we seem to have a ton of CMs and CDMs and not enough attacking players. Defense should be pretty good at least, I would hope.
Pretty sure they signed him to a TAM contract as well. They’ve been getting eviscerated for it. Also this,
It’s the old “defense travels” adage. It makes sense. I imagine this club will keep the best of those groups and get rid of the others in order to begin strengthening other positions.
They've also talked about getting another DP in the summer when most of the rest of the world is in their offseason. most of the fanbase is going in with realistic expectations for the first year. Making the playoffs would be a huge accomplishment and even just competing for a spot would be a good season. I think ownership wants the team to be at it's highest level in year 3 when we're in the new stadium so the next two seasons will probably see a lot of roster turnover.
I think finishing above Minnesota would be an accomplishment. I would forget making playoffs in the east.
An expansion team is given a total of $6 million in allocation money on top of a $4+ million salary cap. 3 DP’s count towards roughly $1.5 million of the $4+ million salary cap. Cincy’s spending is outrageously bad. And MLS, just get rid of stupid allocation crap. For now, make it a $10 million salary cap and DP’s don’t count a cent towards the cap.
their roster construction has been horrendous, but this may be the worst move yet to give up the allocation spot.
IIRC his agent was one of the issues that held up the transfer to RBNY. He somehow gets a portion of the sell-on rights that go to Hurucan if he gets sold, hence why he's pushing this.
Yeah, I remember something about his agent ended up getting his fees but also the fees from RBNJ’s lawyers or something cause he was holding up the deal. But all he really wanted was a cup of coffee. New Jersey “hospitality” am I right?
