Timbers have built their squad through Argentina. Some really damn good (Valeri, Blanco, Fernandez appears to maybe be the best) while others have been meh to bad (Melano, Urrti, Gaston Fernandez). Youngsters from Argentina are, in my opinion, where MLS will make their biggest leaps in terms of quality on the world stage along with the academies making leaps in putting home grown prospects on the pitch.
I think on a more macro level highly rated South American youth players in general will continue to make it a better technical league
Mexican player Carlos Fierro from cruz azul to the Quakes, good pickup for my Quakes been watching this kid since 2011 WC
RSL did this to build their powerful teams of the 2009-2014 period. Then they stopped and have been dickless ever since.
thats interesting. I like it from an ownership perspective. But I question their longterm stadium outlook (unless the new owner is making big moves on that front for the NFL team). That market would be best served with a smaller soccer-specific. Which is why I always thought downtown Raleigh would have been best.
Potentially the biggest travesty in modern day sports. Your heart can’t help but ache for my baby Blessing. He hates Bradley, can’t stand the smog, doesn’t make a living wage, and has to have PV call him every night to tell him he’ll come home soon just so he can cry himself to sleep. The 30 for 30 will be tear inducing....
LAFC unless there’s a trophy on the line then Bradley would Bradley and give up a Trapp hat trick probably.
Robles got an instant yellow for complaining that Schwienazi put his shoulder into the wall after they jumped.
Interesting. Been raining. No big deal. Rapids take a crushing lead and unrelenting momentum on their side....wait, these sprinkles are too tough to play in now let’s pause the game. Where have I seen this tactic before?
I’m so fucking triggered at the unimas announcers that kept saying it was a 10 game vs 7 game “Winning streak”. Literally every 30 seconds. UNBEATEN DOES NOT EQUAL WINNING YOU DOLTS.
Rog interviewed him and asked what he thought when he hit that, paraphrasing but basically “I knew it was going in and just hoped the goalkeeper wouldn’t dive, I knew he wouldn’t reach it and didn’t want him to look silly.”
