It’s one of those fishy something happening behind the scenes MLS trades. Midseason last year LAFC sends MAK to Col for $1 million plus incentives. Now Col sends Acosta back for $1.1 plus incentives. My guess is it was basically a MAK-Acosta swap agreed to last year but Col wanted to keep Acosta for a playoff run so they did some shenanigans to delay the Acosta move.
