I soccer and often leave the TV on with a sporting event on in the background, even if i'm not watching closely, but i don't have any intent to ever purchase Season Pass or w/e its called at the current offering. I have pretty much every streaming service too. Apple TV+ I don't have atm.
it may very well end up being a hindrance to the growth of the league, but until that's shown to be the case I'm just gonna enjoy what should be a much better experience for the established fan
That sports marketing pod I listened to a week back, their expert didn’t think it’d be a hindrance at all. Ratings with the current classic model haven’t seen any significant jumps, even prime time el traficos get crushed by informercials and sports center replays. He said almost everyone has some Apple device and their going to be constantly sending push notifications to your phones/tablets to get views.
I get it with my season tickets so I have not tried this out. But I read somewhere that you only need to purchase one month of apple tv+ and can then purchase the annual mls season pass for the 80 bucks. So you don't need to shell out $150 for it. And one month should be enough to watch Severance and After Party, but don't skip Ted Lasso.

for the most part it's stuff you can already find on the mls youtube channel, the playoff moments or whatever they're called are nice
Trying to remember everything. 1) Playoff moments: probably the best thing they have up (most are the same videos off YouTube). But 20 min videos on crazy playoff games. 2) Player profiles: 2 minute interviews with 150 different players 3) Club profiles: 1 (StL) to 20 (RBNJ) minute long history videos on each club (except SKC) 4) Legends: just 4 minute highlight videos of classic players 5) 2022 highlight videos: match replays, goals of the year, passes of the year, etc 6) Caleb Carr’s “the movement” 7) The Ritual: the cringiest content ever 8) All past MLS Cups, All star games, “classic matches” (playoff games, el traficos, crazy performances, etc). And they’re all the actual full replays which is cool. 9) Stadium tours (they’re pretty damn cool actually) 10) something called “Off the Pitch” which is just a single episode about Lletget/Becky G being ridiculously good looking. It seems every day there is a new show or game replay or profile on there. The shows are 4K and it’s really slick and easy to navigate. You can tell Apple is invested and want to use this as a proof of concept to add other leagues in the future. Really excited to see what they do with the pre/post game shows, whip around shows, talk shows, etc.
