It can vary quite a bit, especially in older people
Gotcha. She's 56
What vaccine did she get?
My 9 year old was sent home from camp yesterday because of a possible covid exposure.
Moderna 145 vote(s) 30.9%
Pfizer 254 vote(s) 54.2%
J&J 59 vote(s) 12.6%
I'm a not chump and I'm not getting vaxxed 9 vote(s) 1.9%
Astrazeneca 2 vote(s) 0.4%
VACCINATED TMB: 460 or 98%
UNVACCINATED TMB: 9 or 2%
Strong as always, TMB.
Yeah I don’t like it, alas nothing is without risk
Pfizer sounds dope here honestly
I knew the moment I was injected that Moderna was the superior vaccine.
For the discerning Modern(a) Man
Since I've had covid and then got the Moderna vaccine, does that make me a God?
You're just begging to be that 1%-er.
Where my #BoostedBoyz at?
10 more days to my 5G boost!
I’ll boost next week when I’m off work.
Got boosted last week
Haven’t been paying much attention, but how long after the 2nd shot is the booster? Also, is everyone eligible?
6 months and basically everyone is
Gotta link for the “basically everyone”?
bmi >25 is like 75% of adults
literally the link you posted.
the criteria for who can get it is so open basically everyone qualifies. I am using BMI as a preexisting condition to get it. I think someone said if you’ve ever smoked you qualify.
don’t think healthy 18-40ish is official with the cdc yet but assuming no pharmacy is enforcing it
The rules I saw say you have to stick to your original brand. 6 months from dose 2, Pfizer the only one available/approved for booster.
Got ya. Just Pfizer though right? I have seen anything in a booster for Moderna, but I think some people are using third shot and booster interchangeably.
correct pfizer only and requires people 6 months out from last dose, which is probably just pfizer pfolks at this point
think if you meet the 6 months from last shot marker the other criteria are easy to literally be in or fudge a bit to get into
im 6’1” 190 for this im 6’0 210 which makes me obese. I qualify.
at 6'1 190 you qualify anyways
thanks for fat shaming me and letting me know I’m a big fat fatty not worthy of love.
Nothing OFFICIAL from the fda for moderna 3rd shots but you can always just call the pharm and say you'd like your moderna third shot, are yall doing that?
If they aren't, call another place and ask until you get a yes.
I’m a Pfizer guy. I’m comfortable waiting a bit more.
Got mine yesterday. I feel the power
I want to get boosted claiming the high BMI qualifier, but I’m afraid when I show up and they see how hot I am they might not believe me.
1. had no idea my BMI was close to 25 I am right on the line
2. my wife this morning was like, “let’s just plan to get it soon, they have it, we want it, we live in Alabama”
usually I think bmi is a bullshit indicator of health. no one is going to measure your height or weight. Have you ever smoked anything? If you have you qualify and honestly all jokes aside living in Alabama should automatically qualify you.
I have trouble seeing the FDA going out on a limb to recommend mix and match. I could be wrong.
Seems pretty clear that J&J's efficacy was already lower than two dose vaccines, it's pretty much a slap in the face if they don't formally recommend a booster.
Is any of this hesitancy tied to the (rare) blood clot issue?
different style vaccine though, might have different results in terms of length of antibodies
Well I got covid after getting J&J so I guess I'll count that as my booster...
yea your good
why? It’s not an mRNA vaccine. The length of coverage could be different
