yes, i studied poxviruses in a lab for 5.5 years to get my PhD. and this outbreak isn't concerning to me. until monkeypox becomes a more efficient human pathogen this won't spread very far. if it has become more efficient, then we need to roll out MVA vaccines quickly. we do have some therapeutics that should work also that weren't mentioned above. chicken pox is a herpes virus actually, not a poxvirus. within orthopoxviruses, you have vaccinia, ectromelia (Mousepox), monkeypox, smallpox, molluscum, cowpox, rabbitpox, tanapox, and others.
