Damn yeah I could see those places not being open on the weekend. Those are more work lunch spots during the weekdays. Instead of Hamburger King you could go to Chris's Hot Dogs though. It's downtown and should be open. They also make a really good burger.
Yea plan on going there for sure. Staying near by. I'll probably go there and Bibb street pizza. I'm going with people that won't be in for fancy dinners but I may have to get a to go order of Royal gulf pasta from vintage year.
El Rey, Capitol Oyster Bar, Lek’s, Derk’s, and Vintage Cafe are all in the downtown/Cloverdale area and solid spots too. I also love Island Delight and D’Road Cafe.
Curry goat, oxtails, jerk chicken. The basics. It’s pretty similar to Kelly’s in Athens if you’re familiar with them.
I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites, Renaissance, Hampton Inn, and SpringHill Suites downtown. I'd stay at all of them again except the Embassy Suites. For me the Renaissance was the best overall and the Hampton Inn was the best value.
One of the guys in my group is freaking out about playing that one. Works for me. Playing the grand national short course on the way down.
Yeah, it's good, but it's cash and to-go only and in a really rough part of town. I'd hesitate to recommend it to people visiting the Gump.
Nothing worth making a trip over. Lagoon Park is a pretty decent Muni, but the RTJ courses are your best bet. Cambrian Ridge (Greenville) and Grand National (Auburn) are both RTJ and within an hour or so of Prattville.
Except this old jabroni next to me is critiquing the bartender on the spice level of the same dish im eating.
Going to Biloxi tomorrow and Montgomery is always a decent stopping point for dinner. Is there a great bbq place anywhere in the region?
Leaving out the "The" before "Montgomery Academy" is just the locker room bulletin board material we need!
MA drove it down 95yds in the first quarter and then there wasn’t a score again until Catholic scored late in the 4th and then MA kicked a FG with no time left.
I hear MA is now coached by the infamous Robert Johnson Rumor has it InZahnWeTrust was his favorite player he ever coached
Indeed. He's still running the Wing T. Not one play from shotgun today, even with 50 yards to go with a minute on the clock.
