Han Solo movie was very entertaining. It was basically on the cusp of "I would have been happy had I actually paid for this movie outside of MoviePass"
I love this scene from The Drop so much. You watch the whole movie thinking Marv is just a quiet, unassuming guy up until this point. It then makes re-watches even better seeing the interactions between the two guys beforehand.
this is cool, but I think the point of this thread is to discuss movies in the theaters that we're using moviepass for. I guess "general movie discussion" is a bit misleading
Saw Deadpool 2 last night. Now that was a movie I would pay full fucking price for. *narrator voice*: "But he did not"
I was thinking of going see this one - good to see some people liked it Same, was really hoping it was opening somewhere near me this past weekend. Right now my choices of movies available is pretty shitty.
Enjoyed Deadpool 2 a lot. Saw this before it - looks pretty funny and I love surreal shit, definitely on my to-see list.
No exaggeration, Hereditary is the best horror movie since The Exorcist. I've seen probably every major and most minor horror movies released in the past ten/fifteen years, and several more going back decades. I love good horror movies, whether they're serious or silly and I hate the bad ones, with cliches, nothing but jump-scares, bad (but not in a charming way) acting and writing, etc. Hereditary is so good it's almost unfair to call it a horror movie. This isn't a great horror movie; that's A Quiet Place. This is just a great movie that happens to disturb the living crap out of you. It's a once-in-a-generation movie.
Hereditary was good. I wouldn't say it lived up to the hype though. Of course, that was just about impossible.
To live up to the hype, would have needed to be a 100 out of 100 for me. I would probably put it somewhere around 90. Which is still really damn good.
Finally saw Avengers. People need to stop lumping dozens of movies into one thread. It is so dumb. Prob see Oceans today.
Anyone see Ocean’s 8 yet? The trailers looked fun with the various great actresses sharing banter but from what I’ve read there doesn’t seem to be much of a plot.
It’s exactly what you think it is. Didn’t think it was some cinematic feat, but it was enjoyable and funny. Worth using MoviePass. The Asian actress who plays the pickpocket is hilarious.
Just got the email too. I didn't realize they want you to take the photo immediately after purchasing.
I think some of the theater employees get spiteful and deliberately don’t ask me for my rewards info when I use MoviePass I’m all like “don’t you want my rewards phone #?”
