I'm loving this so far. I've been to 4 movies since I got my card last week. I've been lucky and haven't run into any app issues when I've gone. Apparently the app was down all last night.
so you can or cannot use it to buy advanced/reserved seats online and if so how difficult is the process/what are the restrictions? I saw some stuff about having to be within 100 yards of the theater on the previous page is that still the case?
You can't buy advanced tickets from home. The card only gets money when you select a show and are within 100 yards of the theater. I suppose if your theater let you buy early tickets at the kiosk or something you could select a movie you don't intend to see, get the money then use it to pay for the tickets you do want. You just have to be at the theater.
Still haven't gotten my card. A little annoyed, but if well. It says it shipped a while ago too so u expected to have it by now
Used it for the first time this past saturday with the wife, worked great. Saw American Assassin, wasn't bad wasn't great
Used it the first time the other night, couldn't have been easier - love the option to go see movies that I want to see but not worth the full price of a movie ticket
Ordered 8/28. Arrived 10/5. Used effortlessly on 10/6. Found I had a MoviePass account in 2013 when I searched for my new account info.
This thing is great. Used it again tonight to go see it with some friends. Will be seeing blade runner at some point too (provided it's still in theaters this weekend after the massive flop)
It's so fucking bad. Got to the theater last night and realized I needed to update my credit card info. It kept saying it couldn't update after about 10 tries. Turned out it did update.
Yeah I switched. Figure why not. Although probably means they are in a cash crunch and close to closing.
Going for a record this week: Sun: Last Jedi Mon: Disaster Artist Tue: 3 Billboards Wed: Lady Bird Thu: Murder on Orient Express Fri: Shape of Water
Loved 3 Billboards. Want to see Shape of Water but it's very limited in theaters here in Atlanta. I can only find it playing at two theaters.
Yes, 3 Billboards has had a wide release, but it’s being given the arthouse treatment. Have to see it, Disaster Artist, and Lady Bird in different theaters that will be only place it’s playing in Memphis.
Went to use mine for the first time Friday to see 3 billboards and the theater had stopped playing it. They didn't bother to tell the World Wide Web.
Fuck! The indie theater I’m relying on for Lady Bird and 3 Billboards doesn’t have a late showing. Going to have to rethink this
Saw Disaster Artist yesterday. Might be my favorite movie of the year. Would never have seen it without MoviePass.
Purchased this when it was the $7 per month deal. Haven’t used it yet mainly bc I find it so difficult to be within 100 yards of the movie theater before I “purchase” the ticket.
