Tenet, and I was one of only four in the house. Before that it was Sonic, just before everything shut down.
I can’t believe movie theaters are acting like this is still a temporary thing. I highly doubt it will ever get back to the way it was.
Going to the movies has always been one of my favorite things to do. I truly hope the theater business survives this my friends and I use to go to movies at like noon and then movie hop into at least one other movie. We called it double featuring. Spend the day there really
Same. The weird part is that I loved going back when I had MoviePass but once it folded I never went back.
MoviePass was the only thing that made it tolerable to pay $10+ to see something that isn’t a must watch on a big screen (think like something like 1917). We have a theater in town that shows stuff several months after release for like $2 but it doesn’t have stadium seating so I’m never going back to it.
Went for Tenet, and wanted to go back for a follow up screening to make better sense of the movie, but the theater re-closed down because Tenet and these other late summer releases weren't bringing enough people back. I'm in DFW btw.
that is sad. i love going to movies. especially once they got the reclining seats, beer and good food, I would gladly go to a movie to escape the world for a couple of hours. i want that to be a thing again sometime soon, but this is going to accelerate the decline of the moving-going experience
Same. Doing a solo movie is my favorite planned day off activity. I always take 3 or 4 days off every year just to go to matinee of a movie I want to see that I know my wife isn't interested in. Looks like that's off the table for the foreseeable future.
Is there a way to watch Tenet? Perfectly fine with overpaying for a service but I can't find a single option to watch the damn movie (LA - no theatres open)
I was in a competition to see the most moviepass movies with a friend in April and May 2018. We fb checked in and tagged each other at every one. I get the memories every year now and it’s sad. RIP Moviepass. #MoviepassSZN
I get depressed when I think about just how many horrendously shitty movies came out that year. I saw the Snowman, Justice League, and Dark Tower with that shit.
I had it when it was $40 and laughed when they dropped it to $10. Had they gone for something like $20 a month, limiting you to one movie a week, they could have made it work, maybe.
The memories of my Moviepass account are especially nice because it was the last year of freedom before my son was born... and all my free time completely evaporated
I got the email from them last night about the relaunch. There is no way this thing will be user friendly this time around at a low cost.
Nostalgia time - what was your favorite bad movie that you saw on movie pass only because you had it? Bad Samaritan still sticks out for me.
Disgusting Also.. Not surprising regal is bankrupt. Saw the writing on the wall with the beverage switch.
