Perhaps Michigan's highly ranked engineering school should be reevaluated if they can't design and build a simple tunnel or understand the value and added safety inherent in robust 2 tunnel stadiums. Maybe one of the other fine engineering schools in our conference can assist. Just spittballin'. Jmo. Smdh.
ND had the same basic set-up with opposing locker rooms being across from each other (ND's tunnel is in the north endzone, UM's comes out at the 50). In the most recent reno ND cut a long narrow tunnel on the other side of the visitors locker that comes out in the NE corner now. Michigan could certainly do similar. This lead to the Purdue Drum hilarity last year.
The only real solution here is to have both teams dress in the same locker room together. That way we can identify which players aren’t sporting enough to play. In advance!
wow, a sexist "joke" directed at people who are just trying to recommend a structural intervention that would address both the tunnel violence and your school's complete disregard for fire code and ADA compliance. One means of egress in 2022? Shocking, really.
This seems like a fair solution for everyone involved: Ban Michigan State's defensive starters for the rest of the season, and no more home games at Michigan Stadium until they add a visitor's tunnel.
Rumors swirling other B1G member coaches have been conspiring together to instigate and incite violence in Michigan’s tunnel system. Ringleading the acts, from what I’ve been told.
Sure seems like Michigan players instigated this, the Penn State, and Ohio State conflicts. Shame they can't act with a bit of class, like they have been there before
Teams have jawed at each other en masse at every stadium in the country . That has nothing to do with the tunnel. The tunnel didn’t force those players to become criminals. They did that on their own.
Yes yes thats exactly the same lmao are you this stupid? Had this been Michigan players i would have said the same thing, this is assualt no matter what colors the players wear.
Hope some of you will be able to rest easy thinking about the possibility of these kids having their college education replaced with a criminal record.
I think the Michigan state players involved should be kicked off the team, if not at least suspended. But this self righteous act from Michigan fans who employ a fucking head coach who literally assaulted another man unprovoked on court is rich. “
It's OK, they are Washtenaw County, one of the lightest on crime places in the country. They just gave Emoni Bates who was charged with a felony the smallest misdemeanor you can get and gave him a diversion program. If anything these guys would likely get same diversion program if charged and have no criminal record
this is some weird ass whataboutism. What Juwann did was wrong. This however has nothing to do with that.
I’m laughing because Franklin said this was an issue 2 weeks ago and Harbaugh put on the tough guy act to say he was whining and he was the cause of it all instead of taking actual steps to address the problem. Almost like people could have seen something like this escalating to this point happening!
Agreed. James Franklin is a very smart man that knows a lot about instructing football players how to behave and should be given a 10 year extension.
