I really liked Newman back in the day but that’s kind of him being a dick. If that would have fucked over Kyle there would have been sparks afterward. Race hard but don’t try to be a factor in the outcome of the race.

Boo’ing Kyle at the end was stupid. If Larson is going to take that shot WTH did you think was going to happen? If you Don’t want Kyle to do that to Larson then make sure Larson finishes the job the first time.

 

Man I was hoping Larson could save it or Kyle would get the wall a little more. They could have been banging it out to the finish line, but ya Newman was a dick.

His left side tires were still on the inner line and at that point he had already made the pass.

Safe to say Kyle will punt Harvick the next time he gets the chance.

 

Kyle punts and got punted. He can’t cry about it. At least he didn’t get wrecked.

 

Who has he punted recently? Elliot, who has just punted him the lap before? I'm not saying it was the worst move ever but Kyle definitely has the grounds to punt Harvick when the time presents itself, and it probably will in the playoff.

 

Umm there’s a reason harvick referred to Chicago when he was asked about what Kyle might say.

 

The real story is we flipped over to the race to see who was in the lead and there was like 6 people in the stands

 

He handled it pretty well. Said "how you race is how you get raced".

 

I was more referring to dbl. Kyle did handle it fine. The only thing that seemed to irritate him was when it happened, but like harvick said he had to do it then because he may not get that close again.

 

You mean where Larsom clipped Kyle and Kyle returned the favor? That's what I was referring to, just mixed up Elliot/Larson. Kyle didnt instigate the contact at Chicago, he responded to it.

 

He was saying he'll race Harvick like that next time.

 

Nah, he was admitting that he does that to people so he should expect people to do that to him.

 

i think he meant it both ways. he understood why he got it, but also saying he'd do it in return. I have no issue with the chicago or yesterday move. Both were racing moves and not just being a total ryan newman dickbag to be a dickbag. It's really setting up for Harvick or Busch to wreck the other at homestead because Newman won't get out of the way trying to keep from going two laps down.

 

For the record, I dont have an issue with it. That's racing. I was just saying Kyle will absolutely do it do Harvick next time.

oh ya. If you're in front you're going to have to race a little differently. Even if the guy behind doesn't get a bumper to the front car, that mental fatigue can cause a slip up. If you're in front you've just got to make it hard to get to that quarter panel and be prepared if he does.

He tried to screw up turn 1 but he was really good on second half of track

 

Good for Chase. Wish Kyle's crew hadn't screwed up so Kyle and Chase could have gone at it again.

 

So what happened. I missed why he had to come back down.

 

Seal broke on a gas can so he only got a couple gallons instead of a full tank. Had to come back down and pit again. Started 23rd with about 35 laps left. Getting back to 3rd was impressive.

Kahne retiring early or is it because he can't find a ride?

 

Haha that was my first thought tok. I think this is going to happen to a good bit of the mid to bottom tier drivers that have made a lot of money already. Revenue is down so those drivers are going to either take big pay cuts or retire and teams will go with younger and cheaper drivers. The top tier will still get paid well.

 

Why is Bristol this weekend? And why are they off next weekend?

Makes no sense to me to take a week off before football starts. Bristol seemed to be the last week of August.

 

Kenseth was a hell of a lot quicker than Kahne and it happened to him so it shouldn't be surprising.

The sport seems to be on life support.

 

I think Kahne is kind of an odd duck. I think once he flamed out, he didn't enjoy the sport enough to keep doing it. Will have more fun racing dirt.

 

Safe to say Kyle used that car all up tonight. He was going to win that race if that tire didnt give out.

Whoa really? JAR alliance? Who is that? I don't follow Nascar news at all. For most races, I DVR and fast forward at 3x speed so I can kinda follow it and then really watch the last 30 laps or so. Honestly any news I get from this thread.
