**NASCAR Thread: Stand With Bubba**

the 9 protested and NASCAR chAnged it and gave the 17 a penalty.

 

I've heard and I agree that there shouldn't be out of bounds in racing. If you don't want them there, make it where it's not an advantage to drive there

 

Glad they're not giving Larson the #48 and it went to Bowman

 

Good for Alex. That's a solid move for both sides. Well deserved.

 

If Larson doesn't get the 88 ride, I hope Matt D. gets it. I also think Ty Dillon would be a good fit.

 

Suarez to 99 with another new team. This 2022 car must be a game changer for the business.

 

Wonder if Matty D has a good run next year if Penske adds a 4th car in ‘22 of if he’ll need to find a new ride.

 

I wonder what Denny’s long term goal is with the Bubba venture. Bubba and Matty D are tight. You could do much worse than having those two as your two-car team

 

Bowyer announces he’s retiring after the season and joining the FOX booth. He’ll be great at it.

 

Does tony give Larson a shot? I thought he would have picked Larson when he originally chose Busch then Suarez.

 

Seems like Larson's more of a sure thing but it's hard to know the behind the scenes stuff like this or if there are any difficulties with bringing Larson back

Seems a little underwhelming for this year but Briscoe is fine.

Larson 88 if they can sell sponsors I think.

 

The 88 team is the least sponsored HMS car. Rick sponsors most of the 88 with Hendrick Automotive sponsorship. Easier to put Larson in the 88. Believe that's why they moved Bowman to the 48.

That pretty much confirms Larson to Hendrick. Also think they might retire the 88 and put him in the 5.

 

Correct. On Dale Jr.'s podcast last week, he said it's pretty much a guarantee "that dirt car driver" will be moving to the 88 but they are rebranding and changing the number to 5 or possibly 57.

Larson would never get the 88 anyways just to avoid the PR headache. White supremacists have latched onto that number to use regularly.

I highly doubt Larson, HMS or even NASCAR wants to deal with answering those questions.
