Wreck on lap 1 of the trucks race. The Trucks are always a wonderful mess
Idk how there aren't more at super speedways tbh. Half of those guys have no idea how to drive because they're 17 or just suck and they certainly can't draft cleanly for more than a few laps
It’s always a total mess
Mass chaos with 6 to go.
Awesome final lap
That kicked ass.
Sums it up
Wonder if the 500 will be a crash fest, seems like a lot of drivers that are either rookies or only one or two years under their belts
What's a Daytona 500 without a rain delay?
Showers and thunderstorms likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. High near 77. Light southeast wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 8pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8pm and midnight. Low around 65. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
I know we use to have one back in the day.
Anyone want to do a fantasy season?
Anybody play Nascar DFS? Working on some lineups and just seeing what others are thinking. Hamlin is gonna be super high owned because of his starting position, but still have to have some shares. I like Blaney as an expensive option. Rest of my lineups are going to be guys in the 20s and 30s. Using the 3-2-1 and/or place differential/finish strategy since it's a super speedway.
I don’t do DFS but I threw $1 on Denny, Bubba, Blaney, Newman & DiBenidetto
So maybe tonight? 50% chance of rain tomorrow, too.
Dale E60 is on.
How was it?
I'm honestly surprised NASCAR didn't make sure Kyle was better prepared for that interview. Not going to help his case of coming back so soon.
Favorite lineup for today, so it will probably suck
What interview? In the e60 or just now?
A little bit ago on Fox.
What did he say?
Really great. Started with all the deaths in NASCAR before Dale’s wreck, including some really powerful moments about Adam Petty and Kyle talking about how hard Adam’s death hit Dale. Then the wreck, Dale’s death and the aftermath along with the safety shortcomings of NASCAR, then ended with how Dale’s death led to all the great tech advances in safety.
Last part of the doc was how Dale’s legacy is Ryan Newman surviving that crash last year.
I'm an hour from Daytona.
What did he say? Always seemed like they rushed through everything to get him back out there
Thought you meant Kyle Bush, not Larson.
Been a 23xi fan since before I can remember. Go Bubba!
Fuck everyone else.
I still think JJ when I see the 48.
Shouldn't be in this race anyway. Come on.
Why do they let people like Derrike Cope run in this race? Half the time he can't get his car to start and he's never up to speed
Are we sure this wasn’t Cope doing a start and park?
Would rather have Ty Dillon or another young driver have a chance.
Same, I totally forgot that during the Duals. They didn’t change any paint schemes it seems.
That right rear was probably 2 years old and had about 1000 miles on it.
This was Thursday night...
Cope took Bubba out
Of course he ran into Bubba
Really bummed about Bubba. That's just terrible. Put to the back over an inspection and then wrecked by a guy collecting Social Security.
The big one early.
Lol holy shit. Already?
And that's why betting on Daytona is a losing proposition. It's just complete luck hoping your driver makes it to the end.
