I got in a twitter argument (I'm dumb) and someone that was claiming that he "deserved it." I got him to basically confirm that if you commit a crime while carrying a weapon, you deserve death in the streets with zero due process. We live in a wild fucking world.

Yea fuck Bill Lee and his platform. Outlaw abortion, outlaw same sex marriage, etc. Those backwoods views can stay backwoods. But if you want TN to be looked at as a state stuck in the stone ages than I'm sure that platform is great for you. That's not even getting into his want to push school choice, his views on immigration and we all know what "religious liberty" means from that side.
My ballot will go for Karl Dean hands down. As much as I'm glad to be rid of Diane black, my fear is that Lee stands a much better chance of appealing to the red base of this state. I will say though that Dean wouldn't be the first democratic mayor of Nashville to be elected governor....
Lee's website says all I need to know about him. Dean would be so much better for this state. At least for anyone that would like to see the state move forward for all people and not just rural white folks.
Agree with Jax Teller, but unfortunately the rural base that honestly have no fiscal business voting for a republican consistently vote for them because Jesus, guns, abortion, etc.... never mind the fact they're mired in eternal rural poverty as a result but "at least my kid will say in god we trust in school". Being a realist, I have to agree with THE TRUTH even though I don't want to.

You'll be in the part with planned parenthood, two "black" universities, and the last part of town that shares similarities to Memphis. But hell, having balls of steel has paid off handsomely for others in this town. I can't imagine you not making money. Do you have kids? Schools are abismal in that area as a heads up.
Look at Cleveland Park ($$) or McFerrin Park ($$) or Trinity Lane ($$) or Madison ($$) or Charlotte Park ($$$) (I used the Yelp system of dollar signs to indicate how expensive an area would be. Those dollar signs also represent hundreds of thousands of dollars you would spend at a minimum)
Gotcha. Been looking at East Nashville, Donelson, and the area west of Belle Meade (Hillwood?). Re: kids. Not yet but that’s pretty much why I’m thinking about moving. Wife’s from Nashville and has a ton of family there.
As a commercial real estate guy, Trinity Lane/Dickerson pike and Antioch are the last spots to find a deal.
