Every major city usually does but this is my first time seeing them in Nashville. I think this is more kitsch and has the probability of being over run with bachelorettes/tourists/bros (see: Santa’s Pub) more so than hipsters. I love Christmas so I’m all about it, regardless.
I dont even care about that part. Santa ain't Christian. I also like trying to blow people away with gifts so this is a great time of the year for me.
Following Nashville’s notable loss of International Market’s beloved Patti Myint, the Nashville Scene shared details of a pop-up tribute this December in her honor at sister restaurant Blvd just across Belmont. After closing Blvd for the month of November to pause and regroup, Patti’s children Arnold and Anna Myint opted to share their mothers spirit and passion with the city she spent much of her life feeding well. Opening December 3 for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., the Belmont pop-up lovingly dubbed ‘Patti’s Pop-Up Too” will serve dishes her children remember eating from childhood. Arnold spent hours in the kitchen with staff perfecting the menu, a tribute to his mother. Look for dishes like a five-spiced braised pork stew, heirloom potato peanut penang, and yellow sour curried cauliflower. Arnold told the Scene that prices would be as his mother would have preferred — affordable so that anyone can come. It’s the sequel to a pop-up hosted earlier this year sharing some of Patti’s preferred foods, but this time it’s obviously much more sentimental for the Myint family. In Patti’s honor, 25% of food sales from the pop-up will be donated to The Nashville Food Project. In addition to dishes served with Patti in mind, a curated market will sell gifts like ones found across the street at International Market. Reservations are not required to attend the pop-up.

They won’t take my reservation until tomorrow(December). Our trip is 3/7-3/10. Made a post in here a few weeks ago and all of you basically told me to suck my own dick. It’s cool. I did. Thanks, guys.
the day doesn't matter. Just whatever works in the flow of your weekend happy to give other suggestions as it gets closer. hopefully you get a nice weather weekend. You never know with Early March
Also went to the Miracle Xmas Bar pop up last night and it was predictably over run with tourists and bachelorette types but worth going for sure. I’d recommend going during the week. Spoiler
It’s $400 to reserve an igloo during the week and Thursday through Saturday it’s $750 and that doesn’t even include food or drink.
It’s okay I just happened to look into and it just received an email. I think you can still go up there and hope an igloo is open. I don’t think you have to reserve it but the language is ambiguous
I know it's last minute but if any of you guys are looking for something to do charitable wise this hoiday season, our veterans group at work is doing a drive to sponsor wreaths or get volunteers to lay them for Wreaths Across America. The ceremony is at particpating cemeteries nationwide this Saturday, Dec 15th. There is a massive shortage of sponsored wreaths this year (120K short at Arlington alone) so every bit helps and they are only $15 per wreath. Here is the link where you can read more and look for participating locations near you. https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/ And here is the link to Nashville National Cemetery which is where we are sponsoring wreaths. They are almost 35K wreaths short. https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/17155/Overview/?relatedId=0
