Eating at Silo tomorrow night (hopefully it's good but not my choice).... any recs for bars to hit before or after in the area?
Not that I ever cared about Mad Donna’s necessarily but I hate when old staples get replaced with some fucking chain restaurant like the fucking Cinco de Mayos in 5 points. It’s a slow death of distinct neighborhoods
The upstairs at sportsman’s was great getaway. You could always ask your significant other if they wanted to go watch the game with you and your friends and they always declined. Brownie points for inviting them while knowing they’ll never take you up on the invitation.
I haven’t. I have a friend that DJs there and I keep telling him I’ll go when he’s there but then I just end up at Red Door every time instead.
Red Door midtown is my haven. I go there every Friday at noon to have a couple 2-4-1 @fridaybeers. During the regular season, I go on Friday and Sunday at noon. It's a wonderful place with above-average bar food.
Has anyone gone to “Lakeside Lounge” yet? I haven’t been able to bring myself to do it out of respect for Edgefield.
Under contract for a new house. Moving from Brentwood to Green Hills/Forest Hills area. Excited to at least be a little closer to town, distance-wise.
Put our house on the market today. Had like 8 showings. 3 total offers, 2 of which were cash, accepted offer was $10k over asking. Nashville real estate is kinda silly right now. Unfortunately, we also had to buy a new place in this same market.
That’s the reason I’m not selling my house in Murfreesboro right now. We would make a killing but not be able to buy anything comparable.
find new house and keep old one as rental... Mrs titties and I did that and it has worked out very well
Cornelius Suttree Looking to get into trail running. You know of any good trails to run on in the area?
Percy/Edwin Warner is the best The red trail at Percy Smith park is a good option in Brentwood There is also a cool trail along side the Natchez trace
Edwin/Percy Warner were always very clutch. The steps at the end of Belle Meade Blvd are a workout of their own and you might see Taylor Swift there so that's a good spot Beaman Park Bells Bend those last two are underrated Stones River Bend Park maybe too? Richland Creek Greenway by McCabe was always nice for some easy running if the knees allow it on that surface https://www.nashville.gov/Parks-and-Recreation/Outdoor-Recreation/Hiking-Trails.aspx
Next fall we should try to get you, me, and Darko the Snowman together to watch a Uga football game together.
this is where we will most likely end up. Which hood? Also looking at a hood in coal springs, too. If my house ever sells...
Sorry, that was confusing. I don't actually live there, but Walt Disney currently does and could tell you more.
Yeah TStation is great area, 15 mins from cool springs, 15 mins to Spring Hill Cool trail area Great public schools We are only moving because mainly I feel more like a city person vs a suburbs guy I want to walk to places and be close to everything The only downside is the commute to downtown 35-50 mins getting to work 50-1:05 to get home But that’s mainly because of the construction they are doing on 440. That is supposed to be done in August
totally read it wrong, but that’s where we will probably end up regardless. really wanted to be right in Franklin, but for what we are looking for in a house, it just makes sense to drive 10 more minutes down the interstate. Any hidden gem hoods in Franklin we should look at?
that’s exactly what my commute now in Atlanta is, if not better. Plus I have a lot of flexibility in my timing getting into the office. I will probably get in at 10 and leave at 3 to finish the day at home
They're building a ton of new homes off the Peytonsville Rd exit in South Franklin. Not quite as far out as TS and really convenient to I-65. Berry Farms and Stream Valley are two nice neighborhoods right there that may be worth looking into.
There are a ton of homes in Berry Farms, Stream Valley, and Ladd Park. You could give those neighborhoods to your realtor. Here's a zillow link to the general area: https://www.zillow.com/homes/for_sa...egionId":"6137c5e306X1-CRo9zng6bb31by_x5yzz"}
Watkins College of Art is being absorbed by Belmont. Seems like an incredibly odd cultural match given what Belmont has come to represent. Hopefully it works out in the best interests of the Watkins students, faculty and staff impacted https://www.newschannel5.com/news/watkins-college-of-art-to-join-belmont-university-in-fall-2020
So Cooper is trying his hardest to sabotage the MLS deal. Hopefully Ingram, who's family has done soooo much for the city, can file a lawsuit and get some traction that way https://www.nashvillescene.com/news...-soccer-stadium-negotiations-and-what-we-dont
I like Jim Cooper a lot. But his brother seems like a rare kind of dick head just can't imagine how bad this looks to companies considering bringing jobs to the area. They already gotta deal with the threat the GOP-dominated state government poses to their ability to operate in Nashville (not to mention they have to potentially go against their morals by simply forcing employees to live in a crazy red state), now to have the city acting like a dishonest partner? Fuck man that's not good at all and it's even worse when John Fucking Ingram is the guy being stabbed in the back. You cannot even begin to put a dollar value on the positive impact his family has had on the city
