While the Titties family rental property in East Nashville did not take a direct hit.... hail damage will force us to get a new roof. Glad we have good insurance.
Barstool with the Nashville Strong shirt with all proceeds going to charity for the tornado victims. https://store.barstoolsports.com/products/nashville-strong-tee
Old Row has one too https://shop.oldrow.net/products/believe-in-nashville-charity-pocket-tee?variant=31410571673713
? Barstool said 100%of the proceeds are going to the victims of yesterday. I know Lewan has something to do with them. Or do you just mean local business support?
Both. Project 615 seems to always be doing stuff for Nashville. I'd rather them get the money and divvy up the proceeds than Barstool, if I was buying a shirt.
the guy making the shirts for them lives in Germantown East Nashville is a war zone. Our house is fine, but it's pointless to even leave the neighborhood. We could see the transformers exploding downtown from the porch and the tornado looking like a demogorgon in the background of the flashing lights. Green, blue, orange. Green, blue, orange. Sounded like the grand finale of a firework show.

T’s and P’s guys Siap My wife’s from Cookeville. Apparently 50+ dead. Finding bodies in fields. Someone found a little boy in their yard dead this morning.
Fuck that sucks. Nashville is getting the press but sounds like that tornado signature was a lot stronger. Not to takeaway from the Nashville tornado at all but hope all affected areas are helped
Really refreshing to wake up and see the missing persons list cut in half and the death toll not climb. Police are starting to divert some of the cleanup efforts out east over to north nashville. Most of the streets are starting to become passable around 5 Points and we're getting lots of tarps over roofs today. If you know anyone with roof damage in East, we've got tons of subcontractors out here putting up blue roofs for free. Thankfully these other storms have been non existent and this weather is cooperating. Let's get Germantown their power today so I can go have a cold beer.
Yeah I would really appreciate some electricity. Reports are SUPER conflicting. Got a "Heard a rumor some people who talked to NES and they said 5-7 days" from someone in my complex. Everything else I have heard is 48-72 hours for Germantown and "longer" for East
Preface this with I’m not an electrician nor do I work with NES, but a friend of mine is in Salemtown and got an email from her apartment complex today saying “expect long term power outages. We’ve shut off breakers and will be removing food from refrigerators”
really want to try HoneyFire BBQ in Bellevue next time I'm in town. Then go to US Border Cantina in Bellevue as well as Sportsman's and Monell's
Wife and me are visiting Nashville for the first time next weekend. Get in early Saturday morning and leave late Monday. Here is my plan so far, any changes or additions I should make?: Saturday: Flight gets in at 6:45am so drop bags off at hotel and head over to Biscuit Love (hopefully early enough before any huge line) Lunch: TBD sounds like so many great options, having a hard time narrowing it down (wife is adamant that we get some hot chicken at some point, so maybe Hattie B's or Party Fowl?) That afternoon figured we would just bar hop, probably hit up a couple breweries, I'm sure it'll be fun and crazy with the SEC tournament in town and St. Patrick weekend Dinner: Have reservations for Husk Sunday: Have brunch reservation at Husk (usually not too keen on eating at the same restaurant twice but seemed like from reading this thread and reviews this restaurant is worth making an exception for) Lunch was planning on going to Monell's Dinner have two reservations at Oak Steakhouse and Bourbon Steak, need to decide between those two. During the day don't really have anything planned. Probably just play it by ear and pop around Monday: Breakfast wherever, sounds like there are tons of great options so not too worried about finding somewhere. Lunch was planning on hitting Arnold's up Today was when I was planning on doing tour type things or anything that would have big crowds over the weekend. Like the Johnny Cash museum and Ryman tour, anything like that.
That sounds like a really nice weekend. Would look into Cheekwood Gardens as something for Sunday afternoon or Monday as I bet your wife would love it
Pretty solid itinerary. Arnold’s for lunch on Monday is a must. -If you do Hattie B’s either get there really early or just get it to go. The lines get ridiculous. -Instead of Biscuit Love, I can’t recommend Big Bad Breakfast enough
Drinking at Red Door Saloon in E Nashville right now. It's amazing that there is so much destruction around this place but Red Door was untouched.
Power back in Germantown, some of North Nash, and most of Salemtown. NES has vaulted to number 1 on my Nashville utility power rankings.
Had lunch at Red Door midtown yesterday. Talked to Rick (the owner) and he has a big plan for giving back to the community. Said he was gonna do a fundraiser in the next couple weeks then go house to house in East Nashville and give out $100+ Korger gift cards to homeowners who need it most. He's a real good dude.
I’d still take it over anything else I think. But I do miss hanging out in smoky Sam’s in Hillsboro Village
I enjoy it but holy shit is it smokey. I hate cigarette smoke and it's even more jarring to me since you can't smoke in bars in Illinois.
