want medical (or god forbid, recreational) marijuana to deal with anxiety or chronic knee pain? Sorry not in the south but you wanna give yourself lung cancer while destroying your liver? Go right ahead
Seeing Big Als and Bearded Iris open back up today warmed my little heart glad you got your power back and we are getting pieces of our town back one by one
The city isn't missing a beat. The money train must roll on. We're out on Broadway right now and they're playing the same Luke Bryan covers as before the tornado. No difference really.
Officially in Davidson County https://www.newschannel5.com/news/m...update-on-covid-19-coronavirus-sunday-morning
What are some of the best beginner courses around town. Getting back to trying to play for the first time since acl surgery. I wasn't any good before then so I'm sure it's worse now.
FYI if any of yall were affected by the storms and need anything let me know. The wife and I haven't been able to get out and help clean up but we are grabbing supplies to donate.
Ted Rhodes is always a good value. Pretty flat but a lot of water. They have a very odd range setup where you have to bring your own balls or something. A lot of the public courses used to be under $20 for a weekday 18 holes but I don’t think that’s the case anymore. I am in the same boat and trying to play more regularly after only 5 rounds or so in the past few years.
Pretty sure Ted Rhodes (I've played it once before) and Shelby are unplayable right now due to the storms. I don't mind playing Smyrna or Murfreesboro but the few friends of mine that play all live up in east or out towards gallatin so they don't wanna drive that far.
I don't even keep score yet. I almost have more sets of irons (thanks dad for upgrading all the time) than I've played full rounds of golf.
If it isn't cancelled, is the parking deck near Bridgestone the best place to park for a concert if you plan on coming in close to showtime and heading out as soon as it is over?
If you don't mind walking park at the Library/Renaissance hotel parking garage. Much cheaper and can probably get out of downtown faster after. Its only a couple blocks from the arena. Or park at the convention center. It's more expensive than the library but they generally do a really good job of getting traffic out of there after events.
I'd probably do the covention center garage or the library if you don't mind a couple block walk and want to save a few dollars.
Love those as well but always felt like a ‘hacker’ playing them on Saturdays and would be embarrassed. I don’t play enough to keep score or have a handicap really but I’m bad. Ted Rhodes was always more low key. Montgomery Bell isn’t a bad choice either. Worth the drive and you can get some solid BBQ at The Perfect Pig
That's why you go at 11:30am during the week when there's less people. Like my alcoholic uncle always says "you can't drink all day unless you start in the morning". For real though, I try to work from Red Door on Fridays from noon until about 2:30. 2-4-1 beers, like eight total people in the bar, and good, cheap bar pizza? Fuck yeah.
I disagree. I mean, I am not a medical professional so I won't talk about how deadly it is or whatever. However, it basically took China shutting down for 3 weeks for it to be contained. As we learn more cases, I wouldn't be shocked if the next ten days are an extreme escalation towards what Italy and China did.
5th and the arts garage or the one across the street. It's a block above the Ryman between Church and Commerce on 5th.
POS Lee's permitless carry bill gets one step closer to reality Shelby County and Knoxville apparently want to opt out of its application. Just another example of dumb rednecks trying to make life awful for residents of the cultured parts of the state https://www.lebanondemocrat.com/leb...cle_7a529798-5241-5c31-970f-93f87d0cfb2d.html
Had brunch reservations for Husk on Sunday morning but eating there Saturday night, having second thoughts about doubling up on a restaurant on my first time to Nashville. I was looking at doing Louie's Wine Dive Bar, seemed like a place my wife would like, but I guess they closed. Anyone got a good recommendation that would be similar to that? Also, decided to switch up Sunday dinner and made reservations to Kanye Prime. Saw way too many recommendations for it to not give it a try.
When I was there last summer we did brunch at Pinewood Social and it was great. Cool vibe and it has an attached bowling alley with a few lanes.
coming in next Tuesday-Thursday for a concert at the Ryman Wednesday night with my wife. Have reservations for Husk Tuesday night, want a more relaxed place to go see some music that night, considered Station Inn (but no for the act), 3rd & Lindsley (since it's so close, some band named Sixwire is playing?), Listening Room Cafe Haven't decided what to do during the day. Considering some sort of city tour to see everything, the Country Museum, may just relax and go see the brewery or something since it will be a kid-free trip ha. Need a dinner spot Wednesday before the concert, was looking at the 'top places to eat in Nashville right now' kind of lists and see what overlapped near downtown. Red Phone Booth sounded interesting (need someone to give me the code though?), right around the corner from rymen Superica 404 Kitchen Butcher and bee, little further but i've heard enough to make me consider it ???
Out of those options I’d do Superica. Other options would be: Stillery Farm House Mockingbird Southern Liberty Common
Butcher & Bee may still be closed due to the tornado. If you decide to eat on the east side I recommend Pelican & Pig or FOLK for great new restaurants. Also Pelican & Pig is connected to one of the top new bars in the country (according to a lot of publications) Pearl Diver and FOLK is directly next door to an awesome new taco bar called Redheaded Stranger that is a solid brunch spot.
Just canceled my trip, sucks, I was very excited for this weekend. Maybe if this shit will die down soon enough I'll be able to come back in May for our anniversary.
My wife is still choosing to believe she'll be able to have a networking event next wed night in Nashville for 20-25 people. I honestly don't think it's going to or should happen. But I'm supposed to be calling places to find a good one to have it at. What a fun day.
Ate here last weekend and it was really good. I was kind of surprised how slow the service was but everything else was fantastic.
