The name Jason is apparently the Nashville equivalent of a Karen.
pay your bills and debts guys
Looks like the Jason on here too
what a stud!
The Ryman no longer mentions seating capacity on their website and during a board meeting was told to start preparing for 75-100% capacity. I just got confirmation that two of my events from last year have been rescheduled.
That is great news, now let's skip vaccinating prisoners and bump our age groups up to the front so we can contribute to the economy.
We have Luke Bryan/Morgan Wallen tickets at Bridgestone, CMA Fest tickets rolled over, will probably buy Bonnaroo tickets again. If we are vaccinated, we shouldn't be afraid of crowds or having to wear masks.
they don't contribute to the economy, like going to a music festival run by a gigantic corporation.
at thinking getting vaccinated means you can immediately fuck off with masks and crowds. Just unbelievable ignorance on top of a total disregard for the historical inequality of medical care / vaccinations for POC.
Or maybe vaccinate them in the appropriate age groups, not ahead of everyone else.
But the data clearly suggests they are at the highest risk next to the elderly
A December study from the National Commission on COVID-19 and Criminal Justice (NCCCJ), a nonpartisan criminal justice group, reveals that the infection rate has been three times higher in the prison population compared to that of the general public, while the mortality rate has been double. At least 275,000 incarcerated people have tested positive for COVID-19, and more than 1,700 have died, according a joint report from The Marshall Project and The Associated Press. The true toll is likely to be higher still, as data sets are inconclusive due to a lack of consistency across states in sharing prison and jail data.
What? Do you think vaccinated health care workers are not going out?
We should not hide if we are vaccinated. I want to see live music again.
Crazy to think my last two live shows were Post Malone and Ruston Kelly an entire year. ago.
All this means is that businesses are already being told something more than the new phase that starts on Monday.
I just barely got BIBCO back.
All you need to know is he has Luke Bryan/Morgan Wallen tickets
Jokes on you because I like all live music!
I prefer EDM but we don’t get that much here.
That may be the least surprising thing.
Eastwood Deli’s breakfast is
Sunday they have chicken biscuits with honey butter
Took the wife to STK for her birthday this weekend. The drinks were stupidly over priced but the food was top notch. Service was really good too. Would definitely recommend it.
We're going to try Bourbon Steak next.
I'm converting full time East and Smith & Lentz is now my new best friend
Gonna try that exact combo tonight imo
Pretty soon you can have Hattie B's on Broadway and walk across the street for a Friday night performance at the Ryman to see this fucking duo
And then zig-zag across Broadway for a 2 AM performance of "Sweet Home Alabama" by Kid Rock with a 1 in 4 chance of seeing him belligerently make a fool of himself. Woo!
Also, Little's closes after 65 years of business in Germantown this Friday. And that fucking sucks. This is what gentrification looks like in Nashville ^^
I guess Capstone 88 will have to wait for another year to come back and visit
Bummed about CMA Fest, but there is still hope for Bonnaroo. Most of the other early spring/summer festivals have cancelled and can't think of any that pushed to the fall of this year other than EDC Las Vegas.
Shep’s deli opens today in 5 points
Eventually gonna be open 24 hours Thursday - Saturday
Kroger's in Clarksville and Jackson have a ton of available appointments today and tomorrow. Jackson has a ton going out a few days. Debating whether to book a 5:30 appointment today and drive up to Clarksville.
It took an hour and multiple attempts last night to book an 11:15 AM vaccine appointment at a Bellevue Kroger. In and out in 30 minutes with my first Pfizer dose and the 2nd one was auto-scheduled for 3/30.
Now you can go back to licking bathroom doorknobs at racists concerts!
I'm confused. Do you have an underlying condition that qualified you? I'm out of the loop but I thought the current vaccination group is/was for individuals 16+ with a pre-existing condition.
I could have flown to Dallas and gotten the vaccination last month. No idea when I'll be eligible in Nashville. In my 30s, no pre-existing condition, but travel 2-3x/week and want the vaccine ASAP.
my mom is 65+ and lives in Davidson County and has been unable to secure an appointment.
It is easier to get an appointment at a retailer vs going through the city/state. They just announced the J&J vaccine drive at Nissan Stadium on 3/20. Their goal is 10,000 people vaccinated, but it's only 65+ 1C phase.
Kroger locations in Jackson, Savannah, and Dyersburg, TN all have available appointments over the next couple of days. Just go get one.
I still thought it was under the honor system and the phase was still in place, though.
Still should be for 16+ w/ pre-existing conditions only singing up, at least that's what I was under the impression of. If that's not the case, then I will be doing this when I get back.
I'm in phase 2b because of my job and that's not forecasted for vaccination until the end of q2/q3, so still a couple of months out.
It's cute that you follow me from thread to thread.
I’ve probably quoted you three times ever.
400 Degrees just opened up at BNA in terminal C where Vino Volo used to be
South terminal is the best terminal
good for her. Was bummed when she moved out of Nashville
This guy prints his email/cell phone and offers to help elderly residents sign up for the COVID vaccine.
Anyone looking to get vaccinated ASAP and maybe doesn't fall into the current qualification?
Volunteer for the vaccine rollout through Hands on Nashville. Most slots are filled up now but they are vaccinating almost every volunteer at the end of a shift. They will tell you repeatedly through the signup process they can't guarantee you a vaccine....so be a humane adult, don't ask about it, and badger the metro health people, but they will most likely offer you a vaccine at the end of your 4-hour shift. I did it today and I am now vaccinated. Pfizer vaccine. 2nd dose immediately scheduled with no more volunteering necessary.
p.s. the waitlist on their website works...had a friend get a shift today that was totally full beforehand. He is now vaccinated as well.
I have an appointment for Johnson and Johnson... it’s next Saturday. I just heard back from an earlier inquiry that I’m now scheduled for Pfizer in 2.5 weeks.
Knowing that Johnson and Johnson is less effective; however, simpler because just one dose... which appointment would you cancel?
IMO both are extremely effective against serious illness and perfectly effective against death.
if you’re not very high risk I’d just get the J&J because it’s 1 shot. At worst you have similar symptoms to a common cold. Add in the lowered risk of you getting it at all as more and more become immunized.
that’s what I’m thinking. It wouldn’t have been approved if it weren’t effective. Just weighing options. The J&J will be simpler. One trip, one shot, don’t even have to leave my car. I got into the Nissan stadium event. The only comorbidity I have is BMI. It’s a stretch but with my wife being a public school teacher... I’d really like to get something.
BMI is an outdated, loosely correlated metric, but if they’re going to use it then use it to your advantage.
if I still lived there I would qualify because my BMI is 32 which is Obese. I don’t think anyone would call me obese
you and I are same.
My 32-year-old sister is a teacher in Orlando, and was given the option for all 3 when they mass vaccinated two weeks ago. She opted to go with J&J because of being fully vaccinated ASAP and she believes J&J has a lower efficacy because they tested it on the new variants. I didn't research or look anything up, but that makes sense in my head.
If I was given the option, I would go with J&J.
Arm is hella sore today. I'd also say I feel a little hungover as well.....feel like I am operating at like 75%. I'd get the J&J shot just because you don't have to wait 3-4 weeks.
Love seeing a bankrupt city having to raise property taxes, only to overspend on a contract to a company that was just created in December.
Memphis paid a company $6M for two years of COVID testing while Nashville paid $18M for 4 months of testing.
If y'all know any veterans still waiting on the vaccine I just got a message that the VA is offering it to any veteran that gets seen by them. No age or risk factor restrictions.
Buddy, you and Capstone are not the same.
That was some wild wind that just came through in East
