We got crushed with hail in green hills area. Was like a minute of insanity and then gone.
That’s the hail up against our garage door area
Sun being out right now is kinda making me nervy
There's a big tree down on Carter Ave in East that destroyed a trailer and building
Got hammered here in the hood for about the last hour but seems to have passed us by now.
Hope everyone is safe.
The real estate market is insanity right now. Everyone please sell their house but also please don't buy a house. I know it's confusing but I need you all to do it. Sorry I don't make the rules.
Hold on to your butts again tonight gents.
It’s pretty wild how crowded Broadway is today
first time driving through in a few months
Hard for me to comprehend people who aren’t vaccinated enjoying being that packed in with people right now
BNA has been wild the past two weeks. Lots of people traveling in who are celebrating recently being vaccinated...
I don’t like how there’s no follow up to any of their tweets
Pretty insane story that’s being shared on all the local Facebook groups
Co worker sent these from their building this morning. Not their cars.
these cars were swept off the road last night, across the street from my house. That whole field was one giant river. It took the FD almost 3 hours to get them. They eventually had to get a zodiac boat out there to rescue the people trapped.
They should probably shut off their engine. But...jeep owners
Came to post this
I'd say Priest is full.
For reference on that campground a week ago
Always crazy to get a reminder of how powerful water can be. The river on the other side of the guardrail bent over this stop sign at the end of my street.
What a loser
Nashville has died
Greedy ass family just couldn't be happy they've raked in money for decades.
I say that having not read the article but seeing as they sold it to a hotel chain...
The Manning’s have been a stain on Tennessee for decades and continue to do so
But go fuck Knoxville up. It’s a shit city anyway. Leave Nashville alone.
Wait, do what?
Are we really shocked/surprised that a 500 capacity venue only open at night is going to be torn down and replaced with something else? A parking lot would make more daily revenue in this spot. That's what we call progress people... Nobody in this town cares about your feelings or history unless it comes with a 20% margin or higher.
The best thing every one of us can do, for now, is to support small businesses in Nashville.
Big Als is back open for breakfast and lunch. Go give someone like Al your dollars and keep them open and fed, because they really need it right now.
this is a shit take. goodness
What do you mean? I'm upset that it's being sold too, but this how developers work.
They absolutely don't care about the historical or sentimental value this building holds. There's another building right down the street with similar history for sale, also probably being torn down. And a dozen more within blocks of this location.
Yea I'm still not understanding the agression behind the earlier post, but sounds like Exit/In made the same offer as AJ Capital but typical Nashville and its drama:
Debris in the water?
BNA is an absolute shit show. Lines wrapped outside of Hudson News just to get water. 400 Degrees line was almost backed up to the Food Court in Terminal C, which is now closed. Even Southwest has gotten rid of the socially distanced boarding process. And Uber/Lyft is suddenly starving for drivers. $80 to get back to East (It's normally $25).
I would be willing to bet the airport has surpassed its busiest daily and weekly volume this week compared to all of 2020.
Rolling Stone did a piece on Exit/In. Q&A at the end of the article is really helpful:
So yea, a pandemic leaving a building sitting empty for a year in a highly sought-after area is a big reason why this is a story and the property is being sold.
We know why they were in a financially precarious situation. That’s not the point or dispute.
I simply linked an article and made a comment. There’s no point or dispute trying to be made here.
You posted about it twice without quoting anyone in the past few days
It was a new article about the Exit/In from the Rolling Stone, with more clarity and an interview from one of the owners. You're trying way too hard to make this more than it is, so maybe don't?
16 games to go and a 2pt lead over CHI for 4th place.
Gettin' hot at the right time are we?
Oracle about to help foot the bill for the pedestrian bridge connecting Germantown to East? Germantown East of 2nd Avenue in is about to be even more unrecognizable. North of Top Golf even more so.
They’ve raised over 200k so far so we’ll see
Hell yeah. Caption is spot on too, for so many cities
I could see them jacking up the rent at the end of the lease to force them out so they can bring in some Hotel/chain something.
“we’re going to preserve the venue....for now”
Sounds like someone went and knocked down almost every mailbox on Cahal
