Portland loves Yuki! Never seen a player with zero connection to the city or team as a visiting player get cheered like he is right now.
we need to make a trade asap because these veterans (simons, grant, ayton) are in the way of younger players who play harder if we're going to lose by 20, we should do it with the youth (ayton isn't going to get traded, we're stuck with him)
Today was the best he’s played in 8 months so hoping it’s a turning point. But this team needs Mathurin to turn into option A
LuPoor the hawks have 2 centers on expirings, can I interest you in one in exchange for one of your 11 trillion picks
I would personally be very interested in Larry Nance, I think he would fit our system very well. Just looked at the trade machine and the salary match is very tough. I think we probably just ride it out for a month with like Ousmane Dieng and Alex Caruso getting most of the center minutes. Gonna be a rough month.
Have you guys talked about how badly the NBA fucked up capping Bron at four mvps when he should have eight and now Jokic is about to bulldoze his way into a tie with the greatest or second greatest player of all time because nba rules and current style of play make a passing big man a cheat code in an era of exploiting the rules at the expense of the game.
What years should LeBron have won MVPs after getting his fourth? LeBron decided when he went to Cleveland that regular seasons don't matter anymore. And that strategy helped him get to five more Finals and prolonged his run as "best player in the world" when it mattered, even if he wasn't winning the trophies for it and helped him win two more titles. I think it worked out okay for him.
The Derrick Rose year was the only time I felt he was robbed. 2013-2014 he was in cruise control and fairly lost to Durant.
So I just went and looked … and to my surprise, fair point when looking at the stats on Basketball Reference. Like, probably D Rose’s, though all respect to D Rose and his game. Maybe Harden’s. Idk. But I also think that no GM would have picked any other player #1 in a draft of the league between 2009-2020 if designing a team to win the nba championship was your goal and that to me is the MVP. look all in all what I am really complaining about is that it puts Jokic into top 10 air with a 6 year peak and one ring. Maybe he deserves that, idk. It’s just weird that Bron has four and for all time now, there’s going to be a limit in guys because Bron has four and the significance of equaling or passing him will be too significant, for basically anybody but the next Lebron.
He didn't even finish second in 2010-11. Dwight did. But agree that LeBron probably should have won that which would have made it 5 in a row. I don't think there's a year since his last one where you anyone but a LeBron homer would say he has some major gripe about not winning it. He was focused on winning titles and guys like Curry, Harden and Westbrook were putting up insane statistical regular seasons
The counter to that is no one cares about how many MVPs people win. If he had won the MVP over Rose in 2010-11, no one would look at him any differently today because of it.
I think hood b. goode might be next up on the depth chart at guard for the Pelicans with all these injuries
saw that Kevin Love reached out, they were high school rivals but Love has had his own issues with mental health. Hope Singler gets some help
