i would never trade for a 7 footer with back issues. knecht + swap + FRP (assuming unprotected) is a ton.
I'm not really sure what the point of that for Charlotte is. They have now traded Williams and Richards. Williams seems like he's pretty good and is going to put up Ayton in Phoenix that one postseason numbers playing with Luka.
i also don't think williams is a defensive stud that you'd think you'd want with luka and lebron (and reaves). sort of a weird mix. other than reaves, i don't know what the lakers do in the near future to upgrade their team given their lack of draft capital now. so this is it -- and i would've preferred a different center. (and, no, i don't think rob williams is a fit there given their need for a starter so i'm not just joking about portland trading someone)
anytime you can trade your promising 23 year old starting center for a backup wing that is older than him you have to do it
Didn't Schroeder say yesterday that getting traded was like modern slave trading? And then he gets traded the next day?
Williams was promising and I don’t know why Charlotte wanted Knect, but you guys have some nice assets over the next few years.
That laker '31 pick is close to worthless and the swap is worth less than that. As a straight up trade, don't think the Hornets did bad, but they definitely didn't get an "insane haul". That's preposterous.
I heard this was the original Luka deal until Pelinka whispered sweet nothings into the shoe salesman’s ear
I wonder if Pelinka was more inclined to give up the '31 pick since he was also shocked it wasn't included in the Luka traded.
