I am going to guess the Lakers called it off due to medicals. Mark Williams has back problems. But now the trade deadline has passed and they don’t have a big man.
Would be hilarious if knecht became like a multi time all star and this is just another massive break for the lakers. Have to think it really hurts their chances this season. Would love to have a live feed of Knecht’s first time back in the locker room. Need an ON3 graphic that just says RESCINDED
It’s definitely more awkward for Charlotte because Williams was considered more of a core piece and he’s owed money soon. Didn’t love the trade for the Lakers so they’re somewhat bailed out long term. Ayton to LA this summer fits perfectly, though! And he’s expiring in 26 so it’s perfect.
Awkward for Williams having to go back, and bad for him whenever he tries to get paid since he's likely the one who failed the physical. That's a crazy 72 hours for him.
what’s the equivalent? Matt Damon in Interstellar to go from Luka’s big to basketball hell plus the physical and money things
So he failed his physical and it wasn't even for the reason people would have assumed he would fail a physical for?
Probably need to make an exception and allow the Lakers to pursue another trade in the spirit of fairness. Probably just let them pick whom they want. I feel like a suitable replacement for Williams would be a similarly-aged player with injury issues. Just to be consistent. Knecht for Chet, post it
Really? Is he even a rotation guy for a contender? Maybe I’m missing something but he’s not exactly the untouchable type
I have no clue what the Wizards are or are going to be but Bilal and Bub are fun. Corey Kispert would be useful on any team in the association and while Sarr is a project I think he’s got a high floor defensively they really need some lottery luck
He's old and probably never an average defender. Feel like his best case scenario is a second unit shooter
shouts to the blazers for refusing to make a shot in the 4th quarter to help the heavily shorthand wolves send the fans home happy on naz reid bobblehead night especially good to get that win with a rough stretch of the schedule coming up :antwehavejadenmcdaniels:
good for the bulls to hang on to vooch for no reason just to blow a 24 point lead by getting outscored 73-28 the last 20 minutes of the game
How many trades have been rescinded for physicals? Only one I can recall off the top of my head was the Thunder getting Tyson Chandler (pre-Dallas). That’s quite the what-if.
The Pistons have had at least 2 I can remember. SVG traded a future 1st for Donatas Motiejunas and he failed his physical. Then Bol Bol failed one a couple years ago. I think Gary Payton II failed his a couple years ago, too, when Portland traded him to GS, but the Warriors either re-worked it or just took him anyway.
Lakers dodged a bullet. Best move was always the buyout market and trading those same assets in the offseason.
Executive of the Year Pelinka fleeced the Hornets into taking a distressed asset in return for a promising rookie, a veteran 3 and D guy, and a 2031 FRP - AFTER the trade deadline.
Dallas leadership really going out of their way to try and shit on a guy that hasn't said anything negatively about the franchise at all....they're definitely feeling the heat
That's such an absurd thing to say on the record I want to give benefit of the doubt that it might be a Twitter made up troll quote
I'm guessing there was a Google search for "NBA stars with lots of championships" in Patrick Dumont's recent past
