GSW said we wouldn't trade him unless we're getting an all-nba player maybe he should get paid like one then
I don't know why he would accept anything less at this point. He can just wait a year and be a RFA and potentially get one if the Warriors won't give him one now.
I don't enjoy watching Embiid play any more when he's on my team than when he's on Philly. But at least I can enjoy the fruits of his annoying labor for a couple weeks.
We should try running a competent offense the rest of this fourth quarter instead of what we are currently doing #analysis
Just looking at the roster, I think we might get smacked in 28 if the current group of young stars don't grow up fast.
i cannot believe that 4th three by curry double-teamed sidestep fadeaway moonball at the buzzer? need to see the replay and watch it 1000 times
theyll be fine bam and booker will only be 31 ant and haliburton will just be getting into their primes (i think hali will be great for international ball and running an offense, he just wasnt needed this go around) paolo and chet will be ready by then, well see if ja bounces back and if they burned those bridges with the celtics guys plus whatever young guys take the leap in the next 4 years (flagg, barnes, j dub, brandon miller, etc.)
I feel pretty confident that we will put together a team in 2028 that will look insane on paper and will almost certainly win the gold.
They also won't have much of a problem getting guys to play with it being in LA instead of halfway across the world, which will help.
nah, the nike people are going to get him on lebron's medicines and have him primed domestic olympics + he's a free agent for '28 (signs with an LA team?) + i want another big wing to step up so tatum continues to sit
Maybe but it seems we are going back to the old ways of the invite only all star team instead of guys making a multi year commitment to earn their spots (yeah I know the veterans have already earned their spots). History always repeats itself. I am not sure a current NBA coach is right for the job. It seems like an extended all star game for them. Coach K mythmaking aside I think he took it seriously as its own job and was respected by the players. Not sure there is an active non NBA coach that would get that respect. Also, I think a few years ago Zion and Ja would have been viewed as the future of the team and both have self sabotaged. Hopefully some guys step up.
The following are the likely player pool we already know of for the US in 28. They're all 27 or younger right now and are ranked in the top 60 of the Ringer's top 100 (used simply to try to not forget people). All of them are either already all-stars or could be at any point in the near future if things continue to develop. Guards Edwards Booker Haliburton Mitchell Morant Maxey Garland Cunningham Wings/Forwards Tatum Brown Banchero Williams Bane Barnes Bridges Bigs Adebayo Williamson Jackson Jr. Holmgren Allen Mobley That team will be fine.
Left my Peacock stream on and they are showing Steph's new show. Who told him he could act? Rick Fox?
