2 FTA in any game is insane, much less the Finals. Gotta be able to pressure the rim against a team with no real 2nd line rim protection.
I see no way this goes more than five games and honestly you kind of have to squint hard to see that fifth game. there's just no answer for what Denver is packing.
Yea. Not a game where the heat should have gotten a lot of FT, but to get just two and literally undercut the all time record low by 3 is insanity
Good W. Miami shot terribly and still kept it respectable. They are likely going to get hot 1-2 games, but Denver’s defense isn’t going to make it easy.
Joker is just a joy to watch going to appreciate it even in blowouts bc ‘Baseball only’ season is Soon
That was a weird Miami game. They were never competitive in it, but I'm not sure I'm coming away from that thinking I have no chance if I'm Spoelstra. I didn't think their defense was that bad, even though Denver was at 55% most of the night, and Miami got a lot of good looks. I think this can still be a competitive series.
True but how many times are Denver on national TV and who’s staying up past midnight for regular season basketball Playoffs is when a lot of country pay attention to WC basketball and this is their first big run plus he doesn’t have that physical freak profile for sportscenter
Uhh, sure, but Sengun becoming Jokic is a pretty necessary part of them becoming the Nuggets and that won't be easy to do.
Casual fans talking about him like they've never seen him play before is one thing. Media and broadcasters talking about him like that is really dumb because those are the people who voted for him twice to win MVP. Did they really not watch him play when they were voting for him? Or are they just being weird talking about him/Denver now because that's the lane people think they're supposed to run in and they can't figure out another path to have a better discussion?
Shoot league average at 3 and get double digit FT attempts and it’s a different night. But this was a thoroughly deserved win for denver
Regardless of how the message gets across. I guess to those like my son who is fully engaged into his first NBA Finals viewing as a fan, he finds that info helpful in learning the league I also hope everyone realizes the enormity of praise the Nuggs will get if they close it out, especially since they’re popping their cherry… NCHusker -Watch will be interesting
No they literally have not watched Denver play because of the KSE/Comcast debacle. They’re literally less than casuals. Sad and Sick!
For me my TV exposure boiled down to almost a 1 in 4 chance I’d be able to watch Denver every night they played abc/espn TNT NBATV just those three they were televised a lot. And then throw in the 4 games they play Portland
Pod I listened to this week made a comparison between Jokic and pre-dynasty Steph that I think is pretty apt. Steph wasn't the face of the league until suddenly he was. His game was different and weird and had doubters until he proved to be an exciting game changing all time great. Kinda feels like Jokic is on that path a little.
Still think Stan Kroenke is a 1%er of awful people but his teams are doing things. Rams, Avalanche, Nuggs, Arsenal; very nice current profile Josh seems to help the cause a lot
watched that in a public setting and it was an oddly enjoyable quasi-blowout if that makes sense denver just loaded with talent and they aren't just shitting on themselves or hurt like they have been the last few years
MPJ went 2-11 from three and had a fucking fantastic game. That would have been inconceivable a couple of years ago
I hope someone asked Malone about the brilliant fourth quarter adjustment by Spoelstra to go to zone that helped them cut it to single digits after the Nuggets stopped playing. Maybe they found something!
While the numbers show Miami wasn’t aggressive at all last night I can’t help but think 2 FTs seems light. No agenda here at all. Heat in 6.
Steph always had talent, he was also chronically injured with ankle issues, he had major durability concerns.
I know this is the narrative people have because of the contract extension he signed, but he played 80, 74, 26, 78 and 78 games before the Warriors started winning titles. By today's standards, that's Cal Ripken.
Channing lurking on TMB stealing takes you hate to see it (I was also doing some drinking last night).
