too soon on the MPJ white towel when he was amazing vs every Western Conference Team , especially last round
Two days after calling Jokic a "big tub of lard". It's embarrassing this is where we are, and that he's only getting more and more air time going forward because this is what people want.
Bomani did an interview a little while ago saying he thinks SAS could go into politics soon. Which would be hilarious to see the reaction when he runs somewhere as a republican.
im surprised fox hasn't been able to lure him away for a primetime show if espn ever stops paying him crazy money that'd be the obvious transition
I don’t mean to poke the bear… but shouldn’t a max contract guy that doesn’t always score be a little more willing/effective passer? He’s not a part of the ball movement process, he’s just a catch and shoot or dribble and shoot guy on offense. It’s not that he sucks but wouldn’t you feel better about paying him long term if he did more on nights his shot isn’t falling?
He’s 24 and didn’t play for 2 years cumulatively. It’s not crazy that he hasn’t learned to be a great passer yet, especially with such an effective offensive hub on the team already. Yeah, in an ideal scenario he’d do a bunch of other things well too but I don’t really get all this nitpicking of his game
I think the likelihood of his back issues either limiting him or taking him out of action are more of an issue than his game. He's overpaid going forward, but if you take out the back stuff he'd still probably get at least $25M per year on the market. He's three years younger than Cam Johnson, whose game is just as limited and basically the same type of guy. And Johnson is going to clear $100M easily as a RFA next month.
I'm glad he doesn't want to go to Boston, but Lillard signing these extensions to make sure he's making $60M+ at age 36 and then telling Portland he wants out and there are only a few teams he's willing to play for is part of what is stupid about the NBA.
I strongly believe supermax contracts should not count against the cap. But that would dramatically increase the owners' potential salary obligations so that proposal is probably a non starter.
For sure. It's not like a home run contract. He's got lots of flaws in his game. But he improved a bunch this year and that's with missing all of last season. His shooting and length provides enough value to Denver that I don't think his contract is an albatross. Assuming he stays healthy the rest of it which obviously is far from a sure thing.
I wasn’t trying to be a dick I’ve been off the grid for like 6 hours and thought something had happened
He's already going on record saying if the team goes young that's not for him, and he's publicly talking about playing for Miami and Brooklyn. We all know where the Chris Haynes stuff comes from. Sure, it's media driven because he's getting asked about it, but he's fanning those flames for a reason.
He needs better representation/support system, how is it that he’s not making these women sign NDAs. He needs to have a sit down with Lebron and follow his playbook.
Haynes couldn't prevent himself from starting to laugh when Dan Patrick brought it up yesterday. It was pretty funny(11:05)
these two have been trying really hard to make people forget they are pieces of shit over the last year or two
Denver is going to be super expensive with just its main four guys so going to need to fill out the roster with rookie scale guys as much as possible.
Not sure showing up on a livestream drunk and coked up with a hooker on his arm is Paul Pierce trying to convince us he’s not a pos. Also, KG might’ve been a grade A asshole between the lines, but everything I’ve ever heard about him off the court leads me to believe he’s a stand up dude irl.
I'm referring more towards KG than Paul. KG has been on this salvage my reputation goodwill tour the last couple of years...doing the podcast circuits, hosting his own pod with Paul, doing gambling commercials promoting positive energy and shit...don't really think Paul is self-aware enough to convince people he isn't horrible
I think Garnett always had a very positive rep from media people as a good guy. He was just a psycho asshole on the court. Every interview I've ever seen from him doesn't make him look like he's trying to be someone different or anything. He still swears every three words.
I will freely admit I have never cared for him and my biases are probably skewing my perception of him.
