I saw a thing earlier that said there isn't an active player in the NBA that has played a playoff game against the Kings
Hosting is not easy , especially w crowds that are not willing to laugh at themselves there is a reason many turn down hosting during awards season
I would say sucking at hosting an awards show and that awful all-star weekend show thing doesn't mean he has "no charisma". Seems like his personality plays up in certain settings that suit him better. But those things made him look bad and I'm not sure how no one in his life had the ability to stop him from doing said things.
the no charisma thing is too far. He isn't Russell Wilson. But if you told me he is super famous athlete who acts stiff in various situations, I would agree. Not really an uncommon thing.
He definitely has charisma. Telling jokes on stage is fucking hard to do well. It's a specific skillset that is not an indication of charisma
draymond is such a goofy guy lol just hanging out with a massive pos his schtick is so unique and refreshing
It’s a horse, which stands for horsepower. But if they are bringing back old logos they need to bring this one back
“The symbolism is, that like the pistons they are named after, the team produces horsepower, hence the equine mascot.”
I don't understand why people suddenly talk about those teal jerseys like they were good. They were dumb. They were created because the organization was jealous of how well the Hornets were selling gear and chose the color scheme to basically rip them off. The teams that played in them sucked and the players thought they were stupid, so they went back to the old stuff after 5 years. And, up until about 3-5 years ago, no one talked about those things as anything other than embarrassing.
I chalk that up to Gen Z and their fascination with the 90s. Like I said in the Uni thread, I associate these jerseys with bad Pistons bball and Grant Hill leaving
Yes but where do I buy one? Also just view them as a transitory color scheme that allowed us to build the going to work pistons and reignite Detroit These are mostly just cheeky fun
I'm not mad they're bringing them back or anything like that. They're going to make a lot of money off them. I'm just shocked at how many people on Twitter talk about them like they were good when no one seemed to say that at the time. There's a nostalgia involved where kids who didn't have a voice back then are now on social media saying they were good, so I kind of get it, but I was a kid when they had those unis, too. And all I remember was people being embarrassed by the jerseys and logo, and the support being pretty overwhelming to go back to the previous scheme.
i’ll say that jersey was what i associated watching the pistons play in when i was younger. pretty much all the jerseys from that era i’m a fan of and nostalgia probably plays a big part in that.
grant hill teal jerseys were pretty popular item in my thousand miles away from Michigan childhood pick up games.
