if the celtics were that thirsty for the wolves 11th and 12th men they could have at least done the right thing and worked out a derrick white trade
Russ is like me playing Madden. I know I shouldn't throw some 15 yard pass sprinting sideways on 2nd and 2 but something in my brain keeps me from resisting
Q1 and Q2 were very tough, but continuing to monitor the situation and crossing off action items has ultimately paid off.
Simone Fontecchio is better at basketball than Duncan Robinson. I am confused by this transaction and hope at least the third year is a team option or something. Update: the third year is not a team option or something
are there any new rumors about kuminga? trying to think of the next domino to fall and it seems like it's just some MLE-type free agent signings left (Horford, Ayton, et al) and the RFAs
But seriously, Fontecchio is good. For whatever reason he shot it poorly and Bickerstaff just stopped playing him late in the season. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he shot it closer to 40% and was one of Miami's better wings next year. Low bar, I know, but that's just a baffling deal for a front office that has otherwise done a lot of pretty smart things.
Really puts a dent in the whole "Pistons brought in great vets to teach the young guys how to be pros" narrative.
If I trusted that Mitchell Robinson could play big minutes for 8 months (I don't) I would love it for the Knicks. Luka/Towns/Reaves would be an incredible offensive trio that would give up 130 every night. LeBron's not getting traded but I don't know if there's a deal out there if he pushed for one that makes more sense because almost every other deal would involve a team giving up 2-3 guys for a 40+ year old.
After looking at Milwaukees backcourt, I think the Turner signing / Dame wave is more egregious than I thought. I just have no idea who is supposed to get Turner and Giannis the ball and will Turner even be good without Haliburton feeding him? I kind of like what NYK did getting Yabusele and Clarkson but it’s dependent on finding a coach I guess. I think I like what Detroit did? Hot take maybe but playing next to Cade/LaVert means he can just run around and provide spacing and you never have to worry about him getting hunted on D bc you have guys like Ausar and Holland. I don’t think there will be a ton of separation at the top 3-5 of the east. Lot of good teams, there’s no great team yet. 5-10ish in the east is gonna be some gross, gross shit.
It appears that Mike Brown, who is clearly a HOF when it comes to job interviews, will be the next HC for the Knicks.
It is rumored that Borrego will be part of Mike Brown staff for the Knicks, which probably means he will be the HC of the Knicks by next season.
Still trying to figure out how to make my Giannis to Knicks, KAT to Spurs, Vassell/Johnson and draft stuff to work Not sure if the 2025 draft picks count against cap before they sign
Can confirm that the Knicks have offered Mike Brown their head coach opening. Two sides expected to finalize a deal soon.— James L. Edwards III (@jledwardsiii.bsky.social) 2025-07-02T17:16:24.697Z
