Vogel to the Suns in a bit of a surprise based on some of the reports. Tough week for Trilly and Simmons
The most basic, blah hire imaginable. Guess he could have surprised me the wrong way but this is just boring
I mean that's not an exciting hire but he's a good coach. Pelinka served him a giant shit sandwich after the bubble.
Vogel is fine. He won a title because he had a healthy LeBron/Davis at their peak, and then he got fired because those guys dumped old Westbrook on his lap and then kept getting hurt. He and Monty are probably in the same tier. It's just kind of a weird way to get there and there were rumors that they were going to hire their lead assistant because Booker likes him.
He’s a great defensive mind but he’s a zero offensively. Which shouldn’t be an issue with two elite shot makers but still. Also way too loyal to veterans, the Westbrook disaster was always going to seal his fate but his insistence on starting DeAndre Jordan and Avery Bradley when it was clear both were washed did not help his cause either
I don't know what to make of many of the decisions Vogel may have made because it's impossible to know how many of them he actually got to make. Same with Pelinka. That's just the way it is with the Lakers and teams with LeBron on them, for better or worse.
espn not doing it this time but Miami Cane/Heat media is. confidence from that small stretch to start the 4th which I wouldn’t completely dismiss but w Denver stretching the lead to as high as 24 points in the 3rd it is more likely it was a playing w their food stretch
Vogel is a star friendly, defense 1st coach which makes sense when you have book, durant and cp3. Got the best out of hibbert so maybe he can be the ayton whisperer
I hate to say this but can we just go ahead and give the title to the Nuggs so this thread can get a headstart in smug NCHusker for the offseason
I’m happy for NCHusker and brolift tho fuck Corch and bro but especially Corch since his real team choked against the Knicks
You think I want the Heat to win?!?!?! The only redeemable person in that franchise is Michael Jordan’s son. The Nuggets are the lesser of two evils.
And shit on another coach in the league. By all account Joe isn’t the former asst who would’ve been the first choice for the job.
Guy is 26. As a non elite athlete I have no idea, but isn’t this fundamental something that you should be able to do by now?
