Am I stupid thinking Aaron Gordon is really fucking good and maybe a borderline top 30ish player in the league
Same trend w Jimmy two years in a row . Terrifying to see in the first round where he looks like a Top 3 player but gets worse every round
in like 3 years some stats nerd will calculate the % of kicked balls has gone up an insane degree because its is genuinely a +EV play against an interior pass
It definitely is, it takes some amount of skill/reactions to stop the pass with a kick, so I think they should just leave it in the game.
What's gonna mean more, your basketball team winning it all in 2023 or your basketball team winning it all in 2016?
Weird Murray game. 5-17 and seemed like he forced a lot of those trying to get himself going, but 12 assists and 0 turnovers while being hounded and doubled the entire game.
They sold out to stop him and other guys stepped up. He also missed some looks he's been making but overall he was fine imo
I think the Heat fans that aren't known trolls are fine, upstanding contributors to the NBA thread. And the known trolls are pretty easy to ignore if you want to.
I thought he was really good. Just a kind of a weird performance and normally when guys get frustrated a bit and force some of the shots he did, it also shows up in turnovers but he was money in the playmaking area all night. Especially fighting through all the contact he faced.
brilliant move, posted in the 3rd that the MPJ minutes would decide if they can close this and Malone didn’t give him a chance to screw it up
Malone has been lights out this playoffs. So happy he's proven to have the chops because he seems like a great dude
I think the more telling thing was Green played instead of MPJ during the entire stretch with Jokic on the bench in the fourth. And I thought MPJ was fine tonight. He adjusted and made himself more available and got a bunch of good shots. They just didn't go in. He was also a factor on the glass even though the rebounding total doesn't show it.
Yeah, that tweet's a bit much. Brown has played 27, 29 and 30 minutes the last three games. MPJ has played 26, 21 and 23.
Going back to this, the combination of Gordon's makes and Bam's 6 foot floater misses felt 5-6 point swings sometimes tonight. Just back breaking stuff for Miami all night. And I feel for Bam because he's basically the only reason Miami is getting any of the stops they get on D, and he's having to then go the other way and take 20 shots and create a ton of offense for them, too. Don't think anyone else in the series has more on their plate than he does and he's just not quite good enough offensively to pull it off. And I'm not sure who could be, to be honest.
Unless Miami burns the nets from 3 in game 5, it’s over. It’s telling that if the four possible outcomes in a game -blowout or close win by either team - the most likely in this series were. Denver blowout Miami close W Denver close W MG2 posting positively about Lebron/showing emotion Miami blowout I wish we could have traded Struss and Gabe after the ECF
but the timing w the closing lineup . In Game 3 it was Braun getting extended minutes that were very impactful
Why would you even be happy for the refs fucking the Nuggs? Don’t you want the Spo coached Heat to lose?
Aaron Gordon has guarded KAT, KD, LeBron, and Butler in these playoffs. Dude is fucking legit as a defender
