For a moment I wondered how they could do the show without her. Then I realized she wasn’t on the show for 9 episodes in a row and I didn’t miss or notice. I think it will be fine as long as Red is in it.

Supposedly there are bread crumbs throughout the series. if there are I will go with the flow but I hope it’s not something they are throwing in the wall to see if it sticks. After last week I thought Red was either the uncle or the original husband.
no not trans in the way we normally think of someone being trans. Been down a Reddit rabbit hole since Wednesday when I first saw the theory. There are many people who have lots more time than I do that make a compelling argument that the bread crumbs have always been there and it’s not something new. Look up Rederina it’s a theory that’s been around almost as long as the show has.
me too that’s why it was wild to me. I started looking into it and found an article from 2016 or 17 that talked about the theory. Again I have no issue with it as long as it’s not something they are making up to shock the viewers.

he is sick he said he doesn’t know how long he has. It could be a year or two. Also the show obviously hasn’t followed a strictly chronological time frame. Mad vengeful Red could be great. I think it’s pretty obvious but I don’t think we will ever get an answer. Now that she is gone there really isn’t really an urgency.
I just don’t want red and dembe to turn on each other. I was 99% sure he’d make it home from that restaurant, but I still got some feels when he said goodbye to dembe.

probably. My question and curiosity came from if Redtaria is real then Red isn’t Trans in the regular sense that we understand it. So he just had a sex change not gender change so in essence (gender wise) he is still a woman. So having sex with a woman makes him (her?) gay. Also (if he now identifies as a man) it’s problematic because the writers are basically saying genitalia equals gender. She was born a woman identified as a woman but decided to have a sex change so now she is a man. I am probably overthinking this lol

I do not like the whole Dembe thing. The Harold story is dumb. Ressler just disappeared for no reason. We’re never getting answers about who Raymond is.
Once again, it seems like the writers are just writing the next episode and hoping it eventually goes somewhere.
So are Aram and Park likely out for the last season? I also think they kill off his new bodyguard and Dembe goes back to Raymond. The show will be fine if they stick to the formula of working blacklisters and don’t try and run much of a story arch. Just get to the finish line without messing up too bad.
I liked that episode quite a bit more than I expected. I had to look up the mom because I have zero memory of her existence. Or most of the first half of the series tbh.
Started this again as my background noise show. Malek was a CIA agent helping out and appeared in maybe half of season 1 before she randomly got killed on an op. They also said her kids were 5 and 8, so idk if that fits the show’s timeline or they just said fuck it, nobody will remember a throwaway line. I also cannot imagine how they managed to fill 8 more seasons and I barely retained any of it. Very impressive when you think about it.
I’m really not digging this whole Ray has a friend thing. Nm I see what they’re doing now that I finished the episode.
Got a celebrity charity golf tournament next month, and the guy that plays Dembe is going to be there. I totally plan on feeding him drinks and trying to get answers.
