There's no way to do that. Wheomever switches conferences with Texas will takes Texas' schedule in the Big 12.
Alright I'll create the league and hopefully I can make it private set a password and also still send you an invite. So DBL can you post which conferences we're using for sure so I can make the changes as well as what rivalry games should be?
SEC East Skrouse- UF Triple-R- USCe SEC West DBL- Bama NoSaints- LSU Pac 12 North Lucky- Nebraska JHeat- Oregon Pac 12 South Webbi- Oklahoma Goast- Texas Big 10 Moint- FSU VT- VT Big 10 Khorn- Michigan BigD- Ohio St SEC won't need to be touched. When you swap teams in and out, use the really shitty teams. For instance, when moving VT to the B1G, swap them with Northwestern or Indiana. I say this bc Michigan and OSU don't have Northwestern or Indiana as a rival so they'll keep all their rival games. When you move FSU and VT in, make their rival a team in their division that's a computer team. At least they'll get a home cpu rival game every other year that way. If you can do 2 rivals, make them both division computer teams.
I'd say the SEC stays the same, for the ACC add Oklahoma State and Texas A&M in their respective conferences ( Put Texas with FSU and Okla with VT and then replace Wake Forrest/Texas A&M and Duke.Okie State) respectively. For the Big 10 you can add Oregon State and replace Purdue? I think that would probably be the best case scenario.
I thought we were going to keep Nebraska where they belong? Just keep the majority of the teams in their respective conferences, put Texas with FSU and Oklahoma with VT; follow that by placing Oregon with Ohio State instead of Purdue and then replace Indiana with Oregon State. The previous changes to the ACC are in my previous post. It keeps 9/12 teams in the same spots and just adds the other. I think its the easiest way to do it.
Alright, are these alright for rivals in OOC or do we need all 4 games open for user games? Texas- Rival A&M Nebraska- Rival Iowa Oklahoma- Oklahoma St Or are we going to just keep all the rivalries within divisions? Also Settings Heisman 7 min quarters All American Recruiting Anything else?
Hmm, hadn't thought about adding a team's rival with them. Not sure I'm a fan of shuffling the conf's that much, though.
I vote what I already mentioned. We're going to have to switch some teams around regardless to guarentee that their is an ample amount of recruiting possibilities for everyone.
So this? SEC- Same Big 10 Nebraska Michigan Oregon Ohio St Oregon St ACC Texas Texas A&M FSU OKLA Oklahoma St Va Tech ?
Works for me if it works for everyone else. Just say the word. Also to make sure Settings Heisman 7 min quarters or 8? All American Recruiting that all i need?
I think what he's saying is this: SEC East Skrouse- UF Triple-R- USCe SEC West DBL- Bama NoSaints- LSU Pac 12 North Lucky- Nebraska JHeat- Oregon Pac 12 South Webbi- Oklahoma Goast- Texas Okie St aTm Big 10 Moint- FSU VT- VT Virginia FSU Rival Big 10 Khorn- Michigan BigD- Ohio St
My only concern with making that many changes is, if we did the above i posted as an example, would Michigan and OSU have anyone left to be a rival other than each other?
no DBL. I'm saying keep everything the same (SEC ACC and Big 10) with Texas and A&M added to the ACC Atlantic and OSU and Okalhoma added to the Coastal. Then you can add Oregon/Oregon State to the Leaders division of the Big 10 so its with OSU and then Nebraska and Michigan stay in the Legends division
Na, then you could have OSU/Michigan play in the reg season and then again in the CCG. Woudl rather avoid that. Keep the pairs in divisions together. Just my opinion.
That's how the conference is set up in real life though...just wanted to keep it as close to the actual divisions as possible.
This is true. You have a point. I hate the setup, but you have a point. I'm ok with whatever. SEC is the only smart one and don't need to be touched so I don't care how y'all fix yall's shit.
I just want to make sure i get a rival game in the pac12, okie and atm are not rivals for me but would work for ut and ou. Oregon should have rivals in the pac 12, leaving nebraska the only team without rivals, i guess OU is a rivals, but i probably would not play them every year, and they are a user.
Doing it your way right now goast. Only question who else do I take out of the ACC for Texas and Oklahoma. You said Wake and Duke but what about the other two teams? BC and georgia tech?
The way I suggested just seems to keep it as close to the real deal as possible. It will eliminate cross country travel for the majority...To bad Oregon, you're the only west coast team so you'll have to travel to the East. You'll still have Oregon State and can set up USC or whatever as an OOC rivalry. As for the ACC...Who are VT and FSU's rivals? I would say North Carolina and North Carolina State (just throw that state out of our dynasty?)
Yeah I can change all of them though if need be. Like if Oregon and Oregon St aren't right now, which they aren't I can set that up.
No no no. I see what it is now. Tenn is the East team that Bama plays yearly. UGA is East and AU is west but they play every year. UF and LSU, same way. They did that to protect Bama va Tenn, one of the biggest rivalries in the conf. Basically, in the SEC, you play all the teams in your division, your cross-division rival, and then 2 other teams from the other division. The way it works out you play one home and one away game vs every team in the other divion every 5 years.
Yeah I know same way in the big 10 now. I'll post the protected rivalries for all users and tell me if it's good.
Big 10 Nebraska-Penn St (real life) Mich- Ohio St (real life) Oregon- Iowa ACC (does everyone in the same division play each other every year in ACC?) If so we can switch OK St and TAMU and then set those as protected rivalries against opposite division teams. Texas- A&M OU- OK St SEC Bama- Tenn S Car- Arkansas UF- LSU
yeah the acc should work like every other division so lets assume that and just place the texas schools with eachother and the same goes for the oklahoma schools
I'm assuming don't use coach contracts so that coaches can't be fired correct? or do we just let it be that way and if someone loses their job, they leave the dynasty and we re invite them as their team?
HMMMMMMMMMM. Now THAT'S interesting. I'm actually game for coaches getting fired. Well, I say that, but that could cause a lot of turnover. I'm ok either way on it.
Alright Settings will be Heisman 7 minute quarters Heisman recruiting (have a feeling this will have to be lowered) But we can decide before we advance the offseason.
I want recruiting to be hard. I don't want 8 of the top 10 classes to be user. I hope the cpu rapes us in recruiting.
sent invites to the people who's PSN names I could find Strouse DBL Webbi moint khorn goast55 VTTait- To your brothers PSN Taiitums23 Others here is the league name and password TMBDynasty password: tmb123 Someone post NoSaints PSN for me since his GF is going to have to do it for him and don't want to make it any harder than it has to be trying to have her search for a league Also if you know the other 3's tags I can send them invites as well DBL
also are we going to mess with sliders or no? I haven't looked to see or even try out any good ones so I think we should just leave them as is, but everyone elses thoughts?
And another note OOC games, let me know how many user games and how you want me to set up who plays who
I'd say shoot for 4-5 user games in Year 1. If someone has 3 in-conference, then try to add 1-2 OOC user games. Good luck on the schedule. Always a pain in the ass bc teams don't have open dates when you need them to.
Ok so 4 or 5 give me a set number damnit lol actually it probably won't matter until all users are in the dynasty cause i don't think i can change schedules of computer teams
4 or 5 is fine. Trust me, unless they've changed it, it's going to be impossible to get everyone on the same number. The 1st 2-3 weeks of the season are easy to do bc everyone in the country plays OOC games. If you want Bama vs FSU that week, just go to one of them and make it an open date for them. Then go to the other and scroll through opponents until you get to the team you just made have an open date. Not so easy in Week 9 when everyone is in conference play and only 15 teams have an open week and none of them are user games.
