Basically sharing some of what I try to use when comparing against lines, posting up in here to access it at work easier: http://kenpom.com/ Mainly look at the adjusted offense, defense, and tempo. If it's 2 slow tempo teams with good fg%'s, and good defenses, can look more at taking the under depending on # of standard deviations... http://www.warrennolan.com/basketball/2012/rpi And then whatever stats ESPN keeps on teams, including recent games/schedule. Mainly in case some team is on a short break between games, or team at what could be a party school playing a saturday afternoon/sunday afternoon game. Something about that has seemed like a trend towards road teams doing well early in the season. Team A Average points per game Average points allowed per game Average field goal percentage Average free throw percentage Average 3-point percentage Personal Fouls per game Team B Average points per game Average points allowed per game Average field goal percentage Average free throw percentage Average 3-point percentage Personal Fouls per game And also try to check team news for injuries/discipline in case someone is sitting out a game.
