It is strange I won't lie but it does help that the 3 guys we landed all almost came to Bama out of high school. We backed off Burton and Gibbs. Both were heavily favored to come here at one point in their recruitment. Ricks was close to flipping his commitment at one point too. Guy was enamored with all of Bama, LSU, and OSU

Gibbs was a big debate. I think if we could have gotten Kyle Edwards to decommit he would already have been at Bama. We had 3 RB commits when his recruitment exploded

 

I guess he feels comfortable going to a worse team since he already has a ring

 

Too easy beating Bama, so he wants a real challenge now.

He'll play Slades role which should produce a lot more he just wasn't all that talented. Agiye Hall, Jacorey Brooks will be the primary outside guys. Burton should be really good in the slot for us

 

I think its as simple as Burton being a slot guy, which in theory replaces Slade who left for the NFL…
