I’ll certainly take that, but the way they talked about his hands I would have thought it would be much higher
My post you quoted just lists suspect hands as one of the issues. His bigger issue is he has no confidence as a player and plays timid. Seems like a good kid. Hope he does well. Would be surprised if he’s not chewed up and spit out by SEC DBs, though.
all known and expected. we only graduated 5 seniors, we were going to lose about 10-12 kids to the portal to make room for incoming class.
Him staying actually makes some sense. He can be here this year as the experienced back up who can fill in if King gets injured, and then either grad transfer next year or compete for the job.
I mean manure obviously thinks the kid sucks 2 offseasons in a row they’ve attempted to get a new starting QB through the portal
by all accounts he loves college life at UM, hasn’t graduated so he can’t transfer and not sit out and would probably be in a QB battle wherever he went because of his inconsistency. good riddance to Williams who has the arm talent and literally nothing else that is required to play that position. Manure should have kicked his ass out the second he got the job when he bitched at Manure his frosh year for making him throw picks at practice so D could work on INT returns. Patriots practice that shit religiously but Williams thinks he’s too good for that as the 3rd string frosh.
“Now, reacting to that news, according to CBS Sports, former NFL wide receiver Donte Stallworth says Tom Brady was so competitive and enjoyed the tough encounters with his own practice squad that he would indeed pay those who picked him off during practice.” Read More: Tom Brady Paid Practice Squad Players for Interceptions | https://espn991.com/tom-brady-paid-...tions/?utm_source=tsmclip&utm_medium=referral
you think teams don’t practice INT returns and fumble returns? Seriously? Like as an actual football fan you think coaches are like ok guys if you pick off a pass just try and run real fast to the other team’s end zone this never happens don’t worry we won’t walk through what you should do in this situation and rep it live
Yes. I don’t think NFL coaches say, “hey throw an interception on purpose and develop bad habits” instead of just having an assistant do it. Correct.
it was Kosi during Richt's last year but he got suspended and settled down. Williams got suspended for a couple games last yr as well but no word on what that was other than the possible incident where he got mad at Manure for the int practice and walked off and threatened to transfer. This year it was Williams who broke curfew before the FIU game. Tathan just decided to up and leave the team at various points during the season. Real good culture Richt and Manure let develop in the QB room.
6th year senior who was always in the right position but not the most talented. It’s a loss because sometimes you just need a guy who will always do his job but there are more talented guys ahead of him.
Other than QBs, have there been examples of 5 stars transferring and being really good at their new school?
Neither were 5 stars. Question was 5 star non QB recruits that transferred and turned out really good. I’m sure there were some that had legal issues or grade issues and went JUCO or something like Cam did.
Noah Spence is another that had legal issues. Is Demetris Robertson bad at UGA or does the offense just suck? He was a 5* and was really good as a freshman at Cal. Jaelin Phillis should get action at Miami next year. No idea if he'll be good, though. That's pretty much all I can think of.
Hard to know for sure. He's shown flashes. Might know more this year with a new OC and it being a contract year
Yeah, I read it sounds like a situation where he thought he was healthy, but the medical staff wouldn’t clear him to play.
