Eh, every 1st round pick is going to have a high grade and (while I haven't done it). I'd be there would a massive correlation between high grades and top ranked players.
Meh, I’d imagine a large amount of this increase is due to teams cutting walk ons to get from ~125 down to 105 for next season. Be more interesting to see what the scholarship only numbers are, and also just FBS, not FBS and FCS
given what happened with Cook, I'll be waiting for the random Temple football fan who knows the story with Hudson to fill us in.
Those is us that grew up in Texas can probably relate to that feeling you get after your first few days in college station where you just want to leave
Rumors are he got jizz dumped on him for stepping on the sacred grass in front of the First Lady (a dog)
Just a matter of time until someone blows up the eligibility limit. Even outside of medical years ect.
I look forward to some of our fat legends that are 35 years old realizing they still have eligibility remaining.
It’s weird how you still refuse to acknowledge the kid tried to enter the portal and Wisconsin wouldn’t do it
He signed a contract. FAFO. That’s part of what I’m saying. It’s equally dumb kids can sign contracts and think they can leave penalty free. That’s because the schools refuse to call them employees. It all needs blown up.
I believe Jamarcus Russell has at least one year of eligibility, would be fun to see him throwing passes to 300+lbs Kelvin Benjamin.
The wording of the rules in that tweet basically say the portal and all rules regarding it are irrelevant and you can leave any time you want for another school. That seemed like what his post was a response to.
not entirely Damon Wilson just paid a penalty to Georgia for breaking his contract. They are out there. Its just not the brightest ppl doing the Ks on both sides of the negotiating table.
I'm assuming one of our legal experts on the board has a more comprehensive view of the situation but it sounds like there are trash contracts being executed all over the place in the relatively new NIL landscape - it's going to be a multi-year mess for a lot of kids.
Meh. There are no rules anymore. Been happening all over the country since this all started. Miami has had a starting WR break their NIL contract and go to the SEC each of the past two years. Then add in rashada 3 years ago. This is the game now. It’s all broken. Wisconsin doesn’t get to be immune because their feelings are hurt.
I can't see this ending well for the kids. a bunch of greedy, rich adults aren't going to sit there and just let this happen. someone will figure out how to blow this up, it'll happen in a Republican administration and a Republican Congress and any appeals will be denied by a Republican SC. there's no way the players are coming out on top, this is just their minor victory that they can celebrate for a few years.
wasn't the transfer portal just supposed to be a tracking tool for teams to see who they can reach out and talk to. Since everyone is tampering anyway it really doesn't serve a purpose
new info for sure. everything from before just said he stepped away and had a spot if he wanted back and maybe that's what was meant but nobody said it in such specific terms.
"Many people are saying we have people entering colleges illegally - the tampering, the NIL, the NCAA, it's just too much"
