I have Cam Newton as my starter(such a clutch last pick in the draft) with Rivers on my bench. I started rivers with cam on a bye and he put up 63 points last week. So I wanted to sell rivers as his stock is high right now.

At TE I have vernon davis who has sucked all year for me, it seems as if Harbaugh doesn't want to throw to his TE and wants him to block more. And considering the 49ers record I dont see him switching shit up

my other major whole is at flex WR/RB. I at first had johnny knox but cutler would barely target him so I dropped him for hines ward who had a decent couple games but only gets 1-2 catches a game it seems. I picked up Malcolm Floyd but he is injured. My top 2 WRs are Marshall and Bowe.

Now I've been offered 2 trades for Rivers:

    Jermichael Finley for Rivers

    Sydney Rice for Rivers

Could use an upgrade at TE, but could also use an upgrade at flex WR/RB

    which trade should I take?

Hold on Davis, Harbaugh is going to have to open the offense up if they want to be ready for the playoffs, and with NFL rules changes favoring more passes over the middle and to TE's, he should benefit.

Not sure how your league's set up, but giving up Rivers for Finley seems laughable, even if QB's have to give up 20 or 30 yards per point. Not saying to expect to get Steve Smith or Megatron, but someone like a Jeremy Maclin AJ Green or Victor Cruz type of WR and/or similarly ranked RB like a Beanie Wells, some combination that gets close to the points total that Rivers has put out this season. Like in one league he's done 140 points, so another good WR or RB and someone close to around 50+ points with an upside would be good.

just about everyone in my league has a top QB. And the ones that dont are down towards the bottom of the league and arent willing to give me their top player for rivers, or just arent interested in Rivers at all due to the poor season he has had(INT's)

I need a 3rd WR or top TE for him as I am pretty much set at other positions

Yeah I hate how people don't want to give up an even, or close to even, trade. One league I'm in I've got a great team, just need better QB play and a stronger WR than the best I have. On the other side, I have too many RB's (and also Vernon Davis...). Right now I have a trade pending to give up Steven Jackson to get Hakeem Nicks, and the guy will probably be a douche and not go through on the trade. It's like he expects me to give up Frank Gore or Ray Rice for next to half their production or points.

thats exactly how these :jews: in my league are when it comes to trading, they overrate the fuck out of their own players and refuse to part with more than one guy

He's gotten off to a slow start but has come on the last couple weeks.

Ended up getting rice for him, my next best offer was mike Williams from Tampa

My biggest fear is that newton will start to play like a rookie and rivers will catch fire the rest of the year. But a risk I'm willing to take

If the guy offering Finley hasn't backed out I'd do that. I'd also look at packaging Rivers and Davis for Finley and a quality RB2 or WR2 if he's willing to part with it.
