British twitter is gonna go apeshit. That case has spawned a million memes
did the dad jerk any dudes off?
Interested to see what role the LDS church plays in this one
Is this the British JonBenet?
Seems like it
Comes out tomorrow? I'm game.
well i am most likely home sick tomorrow, so i'll be binging that before and between basketball games
Why is the family famous?
Anyone seen this yet?
Did you watch the trailer?
1 episode in and I can tell i already hate these Portugal “FBI” guys
I'm still trying to solve Lauren Speirer, give me some more time on this one god damnit
Three episodes in, very interesting so far but the case feels like a mess from both sides.
Just started it. How far of a drop was the window to the ground? Seems unreasonable that they were trying to tell the parents that maybe she just walked out.
I’m only 1 episode in but you could tell just from the response time that the Portugal authorities half assed this one from the jump and I’m sure they, like all the journalists, figured she’d be found quickly
I certainly don’t blame the LEO’s that initially responded for having a optimistic/relaxed attitude, but after about 15 minutes with no sign of the kid you better get your ass in gear.
According to the lead investigator just about everybody showed up late
I read the entire wiki page on this a while back. Will watch at some point for sure
I assume the parents were involved just like with JonBenet.
That’s something I said earlier,
I really can’t do it anymore after watching abducted in plain sight. I need a solid ten years to watch another one of these docs, don’t even mention the Michael Jackson one. I am not even watching the trailer. I need some time
Leaving Neverland is brutal, but great.
Can’t do it
Is this worth a watch
Four episodes in, and it’s very interesting.
Lol at that sketch in episode 2
No prints, no witnesses, no video, no motives, etc just really not much to do/say.
I’ll be honest, it’s a lot of fluff but interesting.
So the rumors were that they found child porn on that Russian guys computers?
Found it odd how quickly he said he didn’t want to address it
“Hot teen” would be my best guess.
Just finished. All things considered, this girl might still be out there.
Watched a good bit of this. Netflix stretching it out because the family wouldn’t cooperate. Nothing new in it.
Hard to know if the parents did it. The sniffer dogs is very dodgy. Where did his tennis bag go?
On the flip side, how would they have disposed of the body? Only way I see it happening is beforehand.
At the very least the parents were completely negligent in their care for their children.
Yeah, I’m not sure where/when the parents dumped the body in that theory.
Seems like everyone but the parents participated in this, I’m assuming they just don’t bother with the media at all anymore.
As much as I wouldn’t ever do it, especially in a foreign country I get why they would feel that it’s fine to eat 100 yards away from where the kids we’re sleeping. I don’t think they were doing the checks as rigorously as they outlined, my guess is they checked in periodically until the kids fell asleep and then assumed that things were fine.
I can’t figure out a scenario where the parents could get away with this, it seems like they were tied up with friends almost the entire trip?
The chief police guy said a freezer but seems outrageous.
I’m not sure if possible but he could have waded deep into the water. There were a couple of were 60-80% certain they saw Gerry McCann heading to the beach with a child at about 10 o’clock. It seems unlikely to me how the body would not go to shore or be uncovered in a shallow grave but it’s one theory.
The sniffer dogs were going mad in the apartment anyway weeks later. There is the tennis bag that went missing and where it was the dogs were staring right at it. Then the sniffing at the car and possible blood sample taken there.
It’s mental but no more so than some randomer snatching a child.
A “60-80%” eye witness in the dark is hardly worth a thought imo.
Any mention of John and Tony Podesta being the likely culprits??
I’m choosing not to read any other info on the case until I get done with the doc. Then I’m going down the rabbit hole.
this case seems different, which makes me think it was a professional kidnapping. Which also gives me hope she is still alive.
It’s been 12 years, no chance she’s alive imo.
But then again, even if my professional theory is correct, I’m not sure if they would keep her alive after using her for whatever child pedo use.
That’s the unfortunate reality of this situation imo.
Def seems like it was a professional kidnapping.
Always blows my mind when an abducted child turns up 10+ years after the fact. Hoping that is the case here.
Was pretty triggered at how shitty that investigation was in Portugal. The authorities didn’t do anyone any justice here. That lead investigator was a complete shit bag. Some of the theories he was peddling are pretty wild.
If it was a professional kidnapping, it just seems surprising that only one child was taken.
I had that initial thought early on in the doc. I don’t remember who brought it up. But somewhere near the end there was mention of a theory where some sick fuck on those dark web boards wanted to “purchase” a kid and they theorized that the individual or individuals involved in this could have been going around that resort taking pictures of different children to have a buyer choose who they wanted. In a really fucked up way that’s believable, and would explain why she was the only one kid napped.
Assuming it was a well planned kidnapping, I can almost handle the investigation to an extent but there was no need to make the parents suspects just because the investigation failed. The same parents that refused to leave the area, spent all kinds of money to help, also still had other kids (unlike Casey Anthony), etc.
It’s the dragging the parents through the mud which really bugged me. Especially when the folks back in the UK cautioned the Portuguese authorities to wait for the final results of the dna analysis. It’s pretty clear they were desperate to get a resolution not in the interest of true justice but for the economic motive of that town.
This post makes me think someone at the restaurant would be the likely culprit. They overhear them talking about the kids being home alone. At one point they follow them when they check on kids...
Did Texas Tech hire a man who won 3 games at Utah State?
Glad you asked. Yes they did lmao
The dinner reservation book also had each night at the same time for the family blocked off.
