Why is Kentucky Owl so damn expensive? Always wondered this. Was in the store today and they had the 10 year rye I think it was for like 300 or something crazy. I'm sure that's a bit over retail but they usually don't go too nuts with over pricing.

They have a storefront at the battery (shops around truist park.)

 

Haven't tried anything of theirs. Only bottle I own is the Braves World Series bottle, and it's unopened.

 

I had their MaltyBoi at Keef house and it was good

 

Bought this yesterday just browsing Chateau in Polaris / Columbus and my god for $45 dollars this thing just good old fashioned fucks. Looks you in the eye and tells you everything is going to be ok and kisses you on the forehead. Chocolate chip cherry cookie dough with a tinge of mint. I’m not sure if it’s hard to find or always on the shelf but I think it’s absolutely delightful

 

Chatt whiskey does a good job with most things and sometimes their limited release and finishes are even better

 

I did not! Old soul is one of my next purchases. Really really want to try some NULU barrel proof I am constantly checking ohlq and missed it yesterday around the Columbus area.

also need to try the new Jack Daniel’s barrel proof rye I absolutely fucking love what JD is doing these days. Their bottled in bond is an absurdly good pour. Thinking about splurging on the 12. Just picked up a bottle of Calumet 16 which I cannot wait to crack open!

 

I’d put their 91 up against just about anything sub $30.

 

I passed on a Blantons Gold for $150 today. Did I make a mistake?

 

Eh, prob goes for a lil higher secondary but not that much better than reg Blanton's

 

My man did some work on that bottle in a day.

Ok - I've never had it before, so was a little turned off by the price based on my opinion of regular Blanton's. He had 2 in the back room, so I may go back by this afternoon and see if I can grab one.

Grabbed a Heaven Hill BIB instead. First time seeing it in a store here locally, so pretty excited to try it

 

2xO Innkeepers worth $120? I'm guessing no but I've heard it's pretty good.

 

A bunch of us usually grab a bunch of them at a time from overseas when they are available. Shipping becomes the issue so getting one at $150 outright from a store in the USA is a much better deal. It is also probably the 750ml bottle versus the 700ml overseas.

My buddy bought this and a bottle of Evan Williams that they only sell in Japan.

 

Picked up these two hogs today I fucking love middle west and these are the cask strength mfs + ohlq picks. Absolutely cannot wait to crack these badboys !!
