The one I have doesn’t state the years aged. I wonder how many it is.
But I was more so making the point that Peerless Rye is good and the Peerless Bourbon is meh
I think the bourbon is 4 years but it’s not on the bottle
I bought the Peerless bourbon for a customer on recommendation from this thread and he didn’t like it so thanks guys fuck.
Yes, I agree. Peerless has only been around for a little over four years or thereabouts since they reopened. Their whiskey is very young.
Sheeeit, y’all can send your Peerless my way.
Before my time in this here parts so I accept no blame
no kidding, I’d have every one of them open if I had all of those
Made a run to TW with the GF and convinced her I should buy more stuff because, you know, the quarantine. Ended up with Elijah Gregg Rye (it's found its way to SC), Woodford double oaked, and a Glenmorangie Quinta Rubanan 14 yr...along with a 4 pack of beer and 2 12 packs of beer samplers.
Made Old Fashioneds all night and feeling solid. Anyone with a solid recipe, please do share. Mine were fine but it was a 1st attempt so any and help is appreciated.
Quinta Ruban is nice
need to get some of the Quinta Ruban - I love the Lasanta
I swear there was a difference in the first batch I got vs the ensuing ones.
sounds like you guys went from sourced to their own stuff
what happened then
Damn it. Now I need to go back and pick that one up too.
Unclear. WillieHuff is cray sometimes. Although I’ll say that my single barrel 4 yr is tasty so ymmv
I'm trying to see if I took a picture of the first bottle so I can compare proofs and see if they're different batches
Just checked. Different batches.
Morning was a little rough. Thanks, grandad.
We are going to a Shelter in Place supposedly tonight. So I had to stock up.
What’s yours? Mines 109.9
109.5 is the one I liked
109.9 is the one I didn't like
We talking peerless, I have the 109.5 and think it's pretty good
I have the 109.5 and the 111.3 small batch. Neither stands out to me. I haven't opened my single barrel yet.
My 110.3 was good but not worth the price. Take that batch and add 4-6 years in the barrel and it’ll probably have some great character.
Does anyone have any strong feelings on Makers 46? Thinking of grabbing a bottle to go with some RR10, Michters rye, and 4RSBS to take me through the quarantine, but have never had it.
Just wanted to grab a wheated bottle i havent tried before....could also grab some larceny?
Makers 46 is good. I’ve only had one bottle but I liked it much more than regular makers. Larceny is a fine cheap bottle. My wife thought it was smooth. I’m not a huge wheater but I like both.
I like both your wife and makers 46.
The Bourbon Thread: So Thanks Guys Fuck
Anyone have a bottle of William Larue Weller they would be willing to part with?
Our COO is leaving in a month or so and that's one of his white whale bourbons.
Is that better than the green label?
Just poured my Hancock for the presser.
I’ll just wait until it’s over and read Reddit comments to find out what a dumb dumb Trump is.
I’m going to need something stronger than that.
This, except I'll just use this board. I've already seen enough of these pressers to know that I can't do it. Had to do the same with the shit Kemp just put out.
Oh man you have two retards to listen to. At least I get to listen to Cuomo.
Luckily, I think Kemp was vague enough with the shelter in place to cover me.
Make an offer ;)
What's the range? Or PM me if you want. AFAIK, price isn't a big concern... until I learn otherwise from the big man.
Wlw will run around 700-800 and more if it is an older bottle.
That will be tough. I did get mine for less, but I put a lot of work in to get that.
I haven’t been on secondary in a while so it appears my numbers are off.
The cheapest I have seen is like $650.
yeah - I just peaked at the new BX and it appears 7-800 is the going rate depending on year.
