So much respect for opening and drinking that bottle. Enjoy it!
Just opened it tonight. Fucking fantastic.
I can only imagine. Any idea the mashbill for #324?
It’s definitely a wheater. Can’t remember otherwise.
Moving to dustys. Gonna start with some turkey.
Liquor store down the road had a “Black Friday” sale.
What did that cost?
That’s about msrp for those bottles. OWA 50, EHTSB 40, 1792 25. I got suckered into the 1792 when I got a bottle of Weller 12. Ended up giving it away Bc I hated it
Yeah, that is why it was in quotes. Should have put “sale” in quotes. The Weller and the 1792 were bagged together for $80 as a way to move product.
I really like the EHTSB. Actually better than the SiB. Enjoy man.
Thanks. I’ve had W107 before, and figured I might use the 1792 as a gift. Haven’t tried the EHTSB yet.
There was a line 20 deep for this thing. Store had 8 bottles of Blantons and 6 Weller 12’s and they were all gone when I got there.
Just getting into bourbon and this thread has been my main resource.
My head hurts
Heading up to Chattanooga tomorrow. Anyone now of any good spots to hunt? Will probably grab a few New Riff bottles since they aren’t on the shelf in GA
I am driving but once I get out of the car in a couple hours I will list the places
Are dustys super old bottles?
undrtow tells me Chattanooga sucks for hunting, but to try Dalton.
Yes - those Very Old Fitz, bottled in 52 and 62 are the only two bottles my buddy won’t open.
Picked up some McKenna 10, ECBP, RR private select store pick and 1792 single barrel store pick, but missed all the allocated items. Store opened at 11am and there was a line at 7:30 apparently. Solid stuff IMO but was hoping for at least a Weller item or MWND, which I’ve always gotten in the past on Black Friday at this particular store.
Also got some Goose Island beers brewed in bourbon barrels.
Does the whiskey improve in the bottle with time?
I'm out of the hunting game and into unloading what I have in preparation for the move. cheddarisbetter will have better knowledge of who has what
Any particular stores? Will be driving thru on the way
At that age, I think it’s just a rarity thing.
Which goose? We’ve been drinking them all day. It’s a very strong year.
Just let us know how we can help you unload your product
I believe in most cases, if it is opened. Not sure it would do anything without introducing air.
Riverside has a solid single barrel chatt whiskey pick. Imbibe has/had some nashville barrel rye. Chattanooga wine and spirits has a RR pick. Eagle Liquor always solid options but marked up a little. If dalton, ga is an option on the route, go to city liquor, they have most of their good stuff in back and will have to ask but have some selections made on table before asking
Cox's, City Liquor, Holme's
Unfortunately, I need to get more for them than what I would ask anyone here. I need to absorb some of the moving cost
my fuckface friend backed out sending me a Weller FP. I’m fucking pissed.
Probably dropped it
That's what you get for being friends with a fuckface.
He had three. Gave one to his dad for thanksgiving. He opened one for himself and now wants to keep the other. This is after he said we had a deal Monday and I paid for a shipping label, sent shipping instructions, etc.
what’s his address? Let’s rob him
What is msrp for EC18?
130 is the NC price
Came across this today and bought it on principle ($60). Hasn’t been paying attention and didn’t even realize they were making a 12 Year. Is it any good? Reviews look just ok.
Great pickup if for nothing else to sell on the secondary. Ive never read a review of it though.
That’s the one bottle I really want right now. That, and ER17.
Stout and Oatmeal Stout
