I snowmobiled around the park last January. It was fucking awesome.
What should a Thomas H Handy realistically be going for? Saw one yesterday but I’m honestly not sure what’s a good price for it. Based on the other prices they were charging I would imagine it’s too high. The blantons was 150. EHT barrel proof was 400.
Burn it down
2020? Secondary is 600
Yea I think it was. I’ll ride back by tomorrow and inquire a little harder if still there. I kind of wrote it off bc I don’t drink a lot of rye and I’ve been thinking back on it today. Thanks for the feedback
Is Alberta rye Cask strength a good pick? Not familiar with it
For 60 bucks I thought it was delish
Just scored a bottle of Blantons from the ABC Vault
Maybe I should have gotten the Weller 12yr
you should have
'doh! they had lot b and orvw in there too.
Had to buy a gift bottle for a client today so ventured into the liquor stores- got him the Alberta Rye. He was pretty happy with the gift
However I randomly bought this:
Anybody had? Thought it looked neat so said F it
How much was it? A few places here have it
I think $125? I dunno I expensed it- the fancy packaging and Sinatra got me
All that was left was Bookers, Blantons and Weller 12
I’m so calloused at this point.
Buy the W12 for $60, sell it on the secondary for $165, but the Blanton’s off secondary for $100.
Boom, $5 and a free Blanton’s.
I feel like W12 is now 180 on secondary
A friend of mine was paying 250 for w12 secondary from an acquaintance in kentucky
w12 isn't that good lol
Pretty sure you can just get it shipped to your door from a store online for cheaper than that
Haha it's not $250 good
Oh, you didn’t quote that post. I took your comment in a vacuum.
brought to you by the guy that recommended peerless.....
Buddy sells his stuff for 80% of the Wine Searcher average price. The W12 price is $290 right now.
Time to sell my W12s
uuuuuuh, YIKES! That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.
edit: not a knock on you or even the people selling them. but the people buying at that price? dumb dumb dumb.
Fair point, fair point
I lost out on money a couple of weeks ago
The next bottle I send you is going to be a blend. I'm titling it "The Legent of Black Kentucky Hills XO"
Anybody tried the Widow Jane 15 yet?
Joke is on you. It is a one of so I can list online for infinity dollars since it is so rare it isn’t on wine searcher
I tried the 13 and it is amazing.
Drinking it right now. It is really vanilla creamy upfront, but finishes with a nice rye bite.
I think the 13s are going to be better. 100% mgp. The 15 is a blend of sources I think.
Interesting, I just figured it was like Clyde Mays releasing an older version of the same juice each year.
Is the 14 blended?
Yes pretty sure it is
Blended doesn't mean it is bad. Here is a very good review.
I think the most egregious part is they had Eagle Rare going for $70
Nice couple days of store picks
I’m jelly of the blantons store picks
I didn’t get any vault access again :(
Snatch up all the ECBP B520 for $60 you can afford.
It's pretty neat
So is that backsplash
