Where on the bottle is this shown? I wasn't aware of this and plenty of stores around here have barrel picks on the shelves.

I don’t think there’s a best Rickhouse personally. I have had great picks from A, B, D, G, N, S and CNF.

 

M, H and T are also great. It’s crazy how different the flavor can be from Rickhouse to Rickhouse

There is definitely a few people here that would buy 6+ bottles of a RR store pick. Mix in a bunch of other regulars and a few stragglers and we’re golden. The biggest hurdle I see is finding a store to partner with to get it delivered. They’re not shipping this thing to RockHardJawn39 ‘s shack.

My shop started to get Buffalo Trace back regularly a couple months ago, 1 bottle per customer. Tonight they had a 1.75, haven’t seen that in a while. So now I have a 1.75 of Buffalo Trace. Consolation for a shitty long week at work.

 

Same here. They had a store pick in spring, then it disappeared, then the regular bottle showed up months later with a 1 bottle limit. Last week they had the 1.75 two bottle limit.

 

My store sells it for $92 IIRC

 

That's too high. I regularly see it at $79. I got my bottle for $69.

 

I think I messed up by doing this , as you always want to stay tight with the best bourbon stores in your area, but I was talking with the owner of the best bourbon shop in my area about a whole bunch of different bourbons/whiskey and when we got to Dovetail I asked him why the price was $90+ (I don't think he typically overcharges on most bourbons/whiskey), if that price was high because the MRSP is just high , and that I was sure he wasn't marking it up. I don't think I really got a straight answer on that.

Hello peeps, anyone tried the Thomas Moore bourbons? I snagged the Chardonnay cask today and was interested if anyone else has tried one.

I picked up the port one. Not a huge fan. Port overwhelms the bourbon.

 

I missed some of this discussion but I'm good for up to 12 bottles of anything if we have trouble selling. Would love to buy 2-3. I live in Bama and it is tough to partner with the ABC on this. I'm in a bourbon club that did a four roses pick and the fucking ABC sent our pick to Costco in like Mobile. A member lived down there and went and bought as much of it as he could so most of us got some.

 

I'm intrigued by an OSU fan living in Alabama. I didn't know a single OSU fan growing up in Alabama and living there for 20 years. Where do you live in Alabama? Do you like it?

I have a 2017 Lot B that I've been saving for the childbirth bottle but the more I've gotten into higher proofs, the more I'm thinking about trading it for something else. Don't know what I could trade for it at a similar value that would be equally special but higher proof (I already have a few GTSs)

 

Saturday night I drank about 1/2 bottle of Rebel Yell single barrel 10 year 100 proof. Haven't done anything like that in quite awhile. Tasty, and solid night overall.

I found a few Rebel Distiller's collection barrel picks that are 110+ proof and they are amazing for ~$40

Yes they are wheated. I got them at Whitlocks in Marietta but just moved out of town a few weeks ago. BrickTamland or Realtree Buck or other Atlanta guys could probably snag you some. They still had some last week according to my buddy.

 

I can definitely swing by and check. I’ve always been skeptical hippo on Lux Row offerings.
