FYI, here is the link to the live stream zoom for the New Riff from reddit (Jay Whiskey) Grab Your Glencairn! Hey goons, hope you're well. Couple things in this email: New Riff "Diamond In The Riff III" Live Tasting Tonight! Tune in and hang out as I sample through the kit, talk about the profile compared to previous New Riff I & II, and we'll see if there's a winner in this batch to select for r/Bourbon's 3rd New Riff under the Diamond In The Riff banner. We'll have another New Riff tasting coming up as well for a second barrel, but that one isn't ready yet. Lots of New Riff to go around this year! I think we'll be able to squeeze in a 4th later this year, with opportunity to be back on prem as well which means panels in person will be back! 7pm Central / 8pm Eastern - Link Below New Riff Diamond In the Riff III Live Stream Link
I know nothing about bourbon groups on FB or Reddit. I just trust you guys and other than that I'm a pretty standoffish standoffish, unfriendly man who fears change and sometimes talks sports.
got to try this guy today and holy shit, one of the best bourbons I’ve had in years. Maybe top 5 ever for me. Only 66 bottles made so sadly that may be my only chance to try
He released a couple other versions of R&L simultaneously along with this one. I only got to sample that one above but did get to buy this one which was a run a 1649 bottles. Popping tonight to celebrate bonus time
I'll give him credit, he does a hell of a job blending them and I think does some slight aging as well.
What is everyone's favorite bottle that they can regularly walk in and buy at the moment? Thinking $60-70 and under.
That is mostly miss for me in terms of seeing it on shelves, but when I see that at $40-50 or Hancock's, I would agree they belong.
I like all Widow Jane with the exception of Decadence (maple, yuck). In fact, I got my first vaccine on Monday, and looking forward to going into Brooklyn later this Spring to their distillery. Widow Jane was one of the first bourbons that allowed me to switch from Scotch to Bourbon more regularly.
I bought about 10 bottles each of Hancock's and McKenna this Summer in Delaware for $40-$45 apiece. I've actually been giving them away to friends more than actually drinking them (although I do enjoy both). Whenever one of my friends says they want to get into bourbon and asks me for advice on what they should try I usually send them a bottle.
Wild Turkey Rare Breed Jefferson's Reserve Michters Bourbon Four Roses Single Barrel Sorry for so many answers, can't pick.
Don’t see it much but saw it yesterday for $70. Didn’t pull the trigger but is it worth it at that price?
One silver lining to this market explosion is the “high tide raises all ships.” There’s so much good product in all of the market segments and NDP are gaining share by mastering their mixes and finishing methods.
Had a line on Stagg Jr at BevMo in San Jose. My Bro Inlaw went to pick it up and it was already gone. So he made a call to his friend thats a Gm of Total Wine and he said he'd grab him one
Local wine shop periodically gets allocated bottles on Thursdays. Walked in yesterday and got this for $72.
Speaking of Smoke Wagon, what’s good pricing for uncut unfiltered and small batch? Im seeing it for $80 and $60 respectively.
