Well shit, now I’m reconsidering not purchasing the uncut/unfiltered

 

I am not as much of a fan boy of Smoke Wagon. It is fine for a change for me, but I just can’t get into it as an every day drinker. There is an almond flavor that I also find in Garrison Bros. that I am not the biggest fan of.

 

Got them for $66 and $51 at Total Wine.

 

Thanks, I feel better now. Everything is compared against ECBP from a value standpoint, and I'm pretty good with just passing on any of this shit that I see that's marked up well beyond msrp.

 

That bottle is really nice. Got mine for $33 and it's a hell of a deal.

I know it's all personal preference but I really like the uncut and unfiltered.

 

I love me some WT 101 and Rare Breed. Not a big fan of RR 10 and RR SiB. Is this weird?

 

Don't listen to him. Uncut is my fav. Its about 70 with taxes here

Snagged some of this local Texas juice my guy at specs was raving about but it's 82% corn and then some malted barley. 123 proof. 46$. If it tastes anything like balcones blue I will be the sad.

 

What’s MSRP for ECBP? First time I’ve seen it in the wild in a while.

also at what price is Smooth Ambler Old Scout Single Barrel Select a definite buy?

 

I think it's around $60 for ECBP

 

I’m guessing somewhere between $59 and $69. I can usually find it at around $62-70.

picked up Old Scout 107 Store Pick and Big Level today without reading any reviews. I would have stayed away from the Big Level

 

ECBP was $79 and the Old Scout SB select was $69.

Local store had ECBP A121 for 69. Already have 2 so I left it. I know our local total wine has Old Scout 107 but I never paid attention to the price

 

I saw a SAOS 12 year pick on the shelf and when I turned it over it said Tennessee so I put it back.

 

I buy the 5 yr MGP Old Scout from a local store. I don’t buy it randomly on the shelf.

 

OK, I am going to give it a try again tonight. Like I said, it was a little too almondy for me last time, but my taste changes from session to session.

 

Just picked up an OF 1897. Love the 1920 and reviews made it sound like the 1897 was better than the 1910.

Same here. I haven’t enjoyed the Garrison Bros products that I’ve purchased (drank them anyway, of course).

 

I’ve only had the small batch, but the almond flavor did come out. I didn’t dislike it, but it was different. I haven’t had the uncut yet to see how it comes through on the higher proof.

Is all ECBP aged 12 years? It is pretty damn smooth for a 120+ proof bourbon. That was my pour last night. And as you can see I drank it from the bourbon thread approved glass:

Damn! I just checked my personal email and had an email from my local store sent 10AM yesterday saying “The Eagle Has Landed!” And they had Eagle Rare Store Pick. Called them as soon as I saw it this morning and they said it sold out yesterday in 3 hrs. I’m having the email list changed to my work email which I check every 2 seconds. Never making this mistake again! Fuck!

 

consolation prize-they have some non single barrel they are hiding in the back and they gave me one bottle.

 

Not that I have any for sale but question: what does ERSP go for on secondary market these days.

 

My regular Eagle rare is better than my store pick I have.

 

I guess if you want a really aged whiskey that's pretty much bourbon and don't mind paying close to $100 this wouldn't be a bad option:
