That’s Willy nilly and not a known commodity IMO. But if you are in a drought area (see also Ohio always) it might be something.
As I finish the bottles I’ll pour the last sip, sometimes more in. Sometimes I forget, and others I’ll skip if those bottles have been added already on more than one occasion. I’ve done some pours from it and it’s delicious.
I’m thinking both of these are overpriced but especially the NULU: Whistle Pig Rye Aged just under 11 years bottled barrel proof at 116.1 proof. Price $99.99+tax NULU Toasted Barrel Rye Aged 4 years 8 months bottled barrel proof at 113.8 proof. Price $85.98+tax This single barrel Rye was finished for 5 weeks in a brand new toasted barrel adding big rich fatty cream flavors.
I was a little hesitant at first, but it’s just a little from each bottle so what was the worst that could happen? I’ve got miss of ryes, barrel proofs, normal proofs, wheated, etc and it’s all mixed together fine.
I started an infinity bottle. It tasted like burnt hair and ball sweat. I discontinued my infinity bottle.
The PA website is such a piece of shit, but thankfully my IT expert, pperc, got me fixed up so I could grab one.
Keef and I are drinking together via text tonight. So far, we've gone Willett Rye, KC store pick from my local store, and SWUU.
I'm convinced they're going to become the next 4R cask strength picks. Will get harder and harder to find as time goes on.
Buddy wants to move this, asking $15k. I think he’s way off, $11k more realistic without knowing his years.
Mr wiskers also got 3 cases of it somehow. I was 5 minutes too late to grab the last one last Friday. Some other local stores were promised it, but haven’t gotten it yet. Did snag an Old Kirk Bourbon yesterday - apparently it’s Willet distillate. At 6 year 9 month it seemed like a good buy at $100
