I see ECBP from 72-90 every now and then around here, depending on the shop. I never could get into the old fitz hype - it tastes fine but I’ve had better, easily accessible bourbons.
One of my favorite bottles is my 1792 FP Store pick. Saw ECBP today for the first time in awhile and it was $100
Local store has a Willet SP aged "well over 10 years" for $499 a bottle. It's going towards charity. What would you usually expect to pay for that?
I've found WSR gets substantially better the longer it's open. Like a year+ and it's an entirely different bottle.
Grabbed another Willett 4 year this week. I really really love that rye. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but it's so spicy. Big fan.
If anyone wants one I'll go get one. It's bourbon. Would have to let me know ASAP as it will be sold out probably really fast. 1 bottle limit.
Would probably need to know in the next 10 minutes or so. Headed out of town for the Bama game and it will sell out fast anyways. I can pick one up on way out of town. First emai was at 10:07AM announcing the release, 2nd email at 10:55 saying it was sold out. Sorry about that.
My store had a stockpile of leftover store picks for purchase last weekend. I couldn't get there early enough to get in line so by the time I got there all that was left was a Dickel 15 year Single Barrel. I like the store picks I've had from them so I bought it anyway. Only $63. Tried it last night. Eh. Lesson learned.
Have plenty of glencairn and libbey glasses but need to get some decent rocks glasses. Is there a thread approved rocks glass?
I was not there, but each store only got 6 bottles from what I understand, so it seemed pretty pointless.
Apparently security ran everyone off at the Galleria store at 630 this morning, and people refused to leave after being in line for days, and the cops were called.
Will be in Louisville for the next couple months, anybody from that area? Any good stores to check? Or good bars that have decent pours? I know Justin’s House of Bourbon is there, but I hear their prices are more expensive than secondary.
After just going down to bardstown, an hour south, really impressed with their distillery only releases. Also highly recommend stopping by the Starlight distillery in indiana, their finishing is some of the best I have had plus they distill all their own stuff. Better version of Barrell imo and most of their stuff is $60-70
I’m going to try to hit some of the distilleries, wanted to book some tours, but everything is so booked up.
its crazy some places are 1+ month out, the jim beam still house is also on the way south from Bardstown too. Didn't have time to stop on my day trip
People are in fighting on the bama fb groups I follow. I went by local one and got two Blanton's right at opening
