Not a very frequent poster anymore, in any thread, but I am in for atleast 1 bottle
Somebody should start a google doc to keep track of this. It’s unlikely anyone is going to go through these last few pages and record the 40 people who said they’re in.
Same. Or two.
or someone start a google doc and everyone can add the name and how many
Yeah - that’s what I meant.
sorry my reading comprehension is non existent atm
I’m game for a couple for sure, and if this goes well make it an annual event
I'd like to note that I am very excited by this turn of events.
Add CC and SSNs to that Google doc to streamline the payments.
pperc will get 15 of these
half will get cancelled....burn....
As soon as we have an idea of the bottle and price point I’ll make one
Bought a bottle of Isaac Bowman purely because it was port barrel finished and I love Angel's Envy.
Am I a dipshit for this line of thinking?
not at all
My plan was to notify of the opportunity now, but then start over with anew thread for recording purposes. A google doc works well and we should definitely set one up but we don’t need to do it yet. I hope to get more info this weekend and then we can put a plan in place.
More like all
Drinking a Russell's Reserve pick right now. Let's get all the barrels.
OF Single Barrel challenge this evening, two different warehouses and of course a floor 1 vs floor 8. Results in a nice proof differential and interested to see difference in flavor.
Also note these are from two different stores called the Bottle Shop from opposite ends of the state.
This Old Scout is pretty good but really hot for 120 proof. I've heard yall mention pouring a glass and letting it just sit for a while . Also heard talk that the first pours of bottle is really hot.
Every time I take a Blanton’s pour in taken aback at how sweet and drinkable it is. Gateway bourbon.
It and Eagle Rare are almost undrinkable. I blame Leeroy Jenkins!
Need a SFTB
Don’t be afraid to put a few drops of water in to calm it down,
Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes.
I have 45 Russell picks, and have plans on buying 8 more in the next two months. I could always use one more though.....
.missed this tonight in one of the fb barrel pick groups
Those in the know, speak to me about older SAOS single barrels.. I picked up a 2016 12yr in a trade but not sure if I want to open it or put it in the vault. They seem to demand pretty high value on secondary but I suppose that’s for good reason
Turn it over, does it say distilled Indiana or Tennessee
Indiana. I’m no SAOS expert but I know enough to stay away from the dickel
Yeah that’s a great bottle. Is it a store pick?
Not a store pick, just a regular single barrel. I've seen certain 12yr store picks go for $750+ on secondary which is nuts to me
SW R&L Elevator went for $950 on the Atlanta secondary...
What are peoples thoughts on Old Elk Wheated store picks?
I only hear good things about them. I have never had one however.
Anyone in the Four Roses Mellow Moments club?
you getting me one?
I am trying to get a second so you can have one.
great, MGPs wheated mashbill is unique and I predict will be highly sought after once those barrels get a little older
The random Facebook bourbon group I am in did 8!
8 starlight picks on Saturday- I mean wtf that’s just an outrageous amount of picks from one place, they also did another New Riff and Good Times, so ten selections in a weekend. Dudes are shelling out cash
Yes thanks to this board
have one that’s 120 proof and is phenomenal.
275 for Stagg Jr is such horseshit.
It’s... it’s April Fools, guys.
Oh, but it’s real life, but for an online tater peddler. Whatever, take their money. I ain’t mad atcha.
